How's the Cataloochee or Cosby area? The wife vetoed Big Creek since you have to park and walk to the campsites (no cooler nearby)

 

The trail to Laurel Falls (I think that's the one) is paved and only about 1 mile each way. Moderate inclines...pretty easy walk. It's off the road to Cades Cove. (We go to Gatlinburg every year). Enjoy...it's a beautiful place.
