What to do for a College Grad...

OKay, I have a good friend - female - nothing more and nothing less than a friend - graduating from college real soon. Wanted to get someting small to say CONGRATS, she's worked real hard to get there.

Any suggestions? (Middle age, not fresh from HS to college)

I'd buy her a bottle of Seagram's 7, and ask if she'd like to celebrate.

A little more info is needed to come up with an appropriate gift idea...What was her major? What kinds of things does she like to do with her free time? What is she going to do now that she's done? How much do you want to spend? Or you can just go with a standard card and some flowers. Does she like to garden? Maybe a nice flowering plant instead of cut flowers.

Nothing says 'Congratulations' like one of those gift certificates for a free mammogram.

If she's just a friend, get something engraved or personalized. Maybe a nice gold pen or a watch. Even a crystal coffee cup with a nice comment and her name. This shows you put a little thought into it. Also, people tend to keep personalized things for a long time. Even a low dollar item becomes very special.
If more than a friend, you have to figure it out.
Good luck.

If she will work in an office setting, how about a nice desk clock/pen set with her name engraved?
