That must be a print error. Toyota is the most reliable thing on the road. They don't have problems...

Well, for Toyota to have problems with ball joints it qualifies for a recall. When Ford has the same issues, it's called a 'design characteristic'.

Actually, while I wasn't impressed b/c it resembled a Camry, the interior of the Tundra seemed solidly built to me, it certainly wasn't in the GM and Nissan cheapo range. JMHO.

Ouch People can say what they will, but for me and mine.. I'd rather risk a fire anyday than to risk losing my steering capabilities. It dosn't matter how good it looks or runs, if the steering and/or the brakes don't work. Then you've got yourself one expensive pile of metal, plastic, and rubber.

the only reason the cruise switches were causing problems is a design flaw that allowed brake fluid to leak into the switch then when is kicked on it created a fire has nothing to do with over voltaging. just problem with seals. which is why they replace the switch with a new one

I was originally looking at a Tacoma and a Tundra but the the prices were still way too high for a used vehicle of that type. I'm glad things didn't work out because I'm much happier with my kick-A$$ 19.7 MPG 2004 F150 5.4L Screw Lariat !!!!!!!

I wasnt saying anything bad about my truck. Everybody has recalls.. But weak ball joints.. That is some pretty serious stuff to me anyway.

Have they got our new switches in yet? I haven't checked lately. I Probably need to do that soon.

Ford has had tie rod and ball jiont problems in some 97 t0 03 f-150, ( my 02 had problems-tie rods) your truck can catch on fire with cruse control and if ...... your tie rods seperate at the same time.......you got your self one expensive pile of metal plastic and ruber.

Actually that would be a Flaming/Rolling Out of Control pile of Metal, Plastic, and rubber.

No machine is perfect...

The Toyota's are probably breaking down because they're made in the USA now... You know how our guys take short cuts, and let problems get worked out at the dealership.
