Bought a new ride

well some of you may know, but I sold the Lightning. It was by far the best car I have owned to date. I love that thing... but I needed something a little cheaper (no payments, pay cash) and something with a little more room. So I got an SUV.... but couldnt settle for just any SUV.... anyone know much about these? This one is SUPER clean, has upgraded turbo, upgraded IC, injectors, 2800 stall, rebuilt tranny, blah blah... and in GREAT condition.... iv only had for a few days and only put about 40 miles on it so far, seems like a nice little truck.... but Ill still miss the L

If you must drive an SUV, this is not a bad choice. Congrats.

Those little things are bad a$$. The AWD makes them hook like a monster and the power is unbelievable for a V6. The styling was so hot for its time, but the desing looks really boxy now. I think you'll be very pleased with the combo of power and fuel ecconomy. Good luck

I'd be tempted to trade my L for that if I found it for sale.

Very, very nice man. The color, the wheels, the power plant. Perfect.

well from what I understand... they made about 2400 of them for 3 years.... and only 50 a year in blue... so this is 1 of only 150.... i wanted black, but this one was SOOOOO clean... not a scratch on it, and has all the good mods already done...

The Z06 wheels look sweet on there too. Awesome color too, I have never seen a blue one either.

I'd paint the bottom and have it all one color, put a drop on it, and chrome those wheels. I think it would be a drastic improvement. Nice truck!

That is one of my dream trucks with me being a GM man at heart.
Make sure when you run it at the track that you stall it up and launch with 6psi or so. If not you will run a couple tenths slower.
Put some straight 100oct in it and turn it up to 18-20psi and let her rip. Only do this if the fuel system is built to handle it.

P.S What size turbo is on it now?

Awesome purchase! I love those trucks. You will definitely enjoy it...just save a little cash in case you break anything. The SY and TY crowd have been known to drop a lotta cash on repairs.

Typhoons are bad *** little trucks. They run about 13.5s stock, and can get into the 12s easy with some mods. The only problem with them is they had the same issues as the Syclones with the weak trannys and the Typhoons had a nasty electrical issue where they just die when you are stomping on them. But overall, it's a nice turboed AWD vehicle and at least it's got some utility over the useless Syclones.

My dad has a 10 sec Typhoon and it is awesome... You don't see alot of that color combo... Enjoy it... I love driving them... It's only all wheel drive until you start pulling the front wheels off the ground
