OS X Sharing Question

With all of the Apple fans in here, I'm hoping someone can help. I want to share a folder that is not in my home directory. I use the slide show screensaver for my personal pictures, and since I upgraded to Tiger, it randomly throws one of the iChat icons on top of my photo (the photo looks fine, it displays the picture, then displays it with the icon over it). If I run the screen saver out of another folder, it works fine. I need to access this folder from Windows machines to update the photos. I am familiar with sharing in OS X, just not how to do it with another folder.

You are trying to use a Windows based machine to access Apple shares?

Maybe this will help:

Accessing SMB on a Mac from Windows. I had it running on Panther, I just forgot how. The smb.conf looks different on Tiger, and SWAT isn't there, I am familiar with smb and SWAT from Linux.
