1. Cell phone w/internal modem
2. Cable to connect cell phone w PC
3. ISP dialup agreement

Oh cool. Unfortunately this is for my in-limbo girlfriend and she moved further from Denver. I guess she just has to deal with no Internet or spend $60-$80 a month for it.

Another option is satellite. It is not cheap, but an option. The cheapest option is dial-up, but with no phone line, that makes it a little tough.

Get a wireless card and see if any of your neighbors are giving away their Internet connection wirelessly.

Just kidding...I can't recommend that....

(psst...it may work)

Cable?

Dry Line DSL?

Depending on your cellphone plan/provider...use it as a modem?

vader's suggestion...but cut a deal with your neighbor...if they find out.

Yup, that's the way to do it... check out http://www.fab-corp.com/ and get a 8-11dBi antenna... you'll have plenty of cheap internet access around you!

If it is a Sprint phone, buy the proper connection cable and the internet access will use cell minutes......just make sure to be on during "free" nights and weekends. That's what I did for about a year until I got busted "borrowing" cable from the cable company...twice.....and finally had to set up an account.

It is slower than shis-nit, though....

If she has a laptop, she can get a wireless aircard and service from one of the cell phone companies. In my company laptop, I have Sprint aircard and some of the others in the office have Cingular aircards. No phone required. Just put it in the PCMIA slot and connect. Don't know anything about cost or even if it is available for normal consumers or if is only available for businesses. I love it because as long as I have signal, I can connect anywhere in the US. I have been from Florida to Maine to Texas and always been able to use it. Worth a shot to check it out.

I like it especially because I don't have to pay for it.
