need some computer help

i'm house-sitting for some friends and with their computer I have to type out the entire address to access a website. It's driving me nuts!! Can someone please tell me how to activate the control/enter function? The browser is Internet Explorer.

Since it's not your computer, I don't think you should be going into preferences and changing things . . .

Kobiashi is right but if you go to Control Panel, then Internet Options, then Content, you will see a button under personal information for Auto Complete.
Click that button and check all the boxes. That will fix you up.

Remember to put it back to how it was though before your friends come back and don't forget to delete all the ****

Yea I'm just as protective of my computer as I am my truck myself.

If you go change anything and if something happens to happen to it while they are gone or even couple weeks after.. Then they will blame you.

Edited to add:
Unless you are the guy they ussually call to work on thier computer for them anyway...

thanks folks, I appreciate the help. They won't mind my changing that setting, I'm sure and I'll make sure I tell them.
It's been so long since I've run into this problem, I totally forgot how to do the fix...

regards
