Treo 600 / 650

Anybody got this phone?

If so, where can you get cool downloads? I'm tired of these rinky-dink ring-tones while other folks with regular phones can rock the latest tunes as their ringers..

What can I do? I'm about ready to trash this thing.

Well the owner of the company has it and trying to get it interfaced with Exchange and the ActiveSync service drove me nuts.

I hate the thing....everytime I see it I figure something is broke.

I went on EBay and bought a data cable for my phone.

Plugged my phone into my laptop and downloaded a program called BITPIM.

I uploaded MP3's to my phone and then used them as ringers.
I Uploaded several games and pictures and video's also.

THe data cable was like $4-5 shipped and the software was free.

I have the hot-synch cabel- is that the same as your data cable?

I have mine synched to my address book in Outlook, etc.. but other than that- I haven't gotten much else done.

i have the Treo 650 and while its not perfect - its pretty good.

There are and always have been propblems with palms .. this one is no different. But its much better than the Blackbery I had and there is nothing else on the market that is as good as a phone and has decent battery life...

Doug

Edit

Bit pim doesnt support the palm .. or lt least they dont admit it
