Thanks Jamz, It's really not that long but seems to be a record anymore... Many of the ones that we went to school with have been married and divorced and remarried atleast once on average. Many are on thier 3rd or 4th marriages...

I've always said that once of anything is an accident... Twice is a habit.

 

What ends up happeneign is, say you were set to get $1,000 a month for life, and your wife was set to get $800 a month in retirement for life from the military.

Well, she's entitled (by the military) to get 50% after you've been married 10 years, and vice-versa. (This has nothing to do with SSN)

So, she'd get $500 of your $1,000, leavign you with $500. But, you'd get $400 of her $800..

So, you'd both end up going home with $900.00 a piece...

It all depends though- if it's due to adultery- then everything changes- I'm sure the man (If guilty) would not see a penny of his wife's retirement.. They just had "irreconcilable differences" (Funny how that pops up after 20 years).

This would not be the case for a married military souse who's spouse is non-military. Once you breech 10, that's 50% gone if you get a divorce..

I think the military gets TOO involved in people's private affairs.. That's the only thing I disliked about the Army... Whatever you do, don't let your private matters make it to the CO or 1SG. If you can't handle your life, they will...

 

I think the Goverment in general gets to involved in peoples personal affairs both for the military and public. I'm sure it's worse for thier military.

 

Back on topic....... my wife doesn't care if Igo to strip clubs or not. She has gone on a couple occasions. Once she ate whipped cream and a strawberry of a strippers boob. We go to Hooters all the time, for both the food and the scenery. And now for the icing on the cake, she informs me last week we are going to upstate NY on May 6th so we can have a threesome with one of her friends who lives there. WOOHOO My wife ROCKS!

 

I think the government needs to step in and dis-allow chicks to get mad over hootie-can watching. If they do, the male should be allowed to divorce penalty-free.

Hell 19 years ago I married one of those "strip club 'ho's"....now she got her teachers certificate and teaching middle school students....happy ever since.

I don't mind if the old man goes..... I was curious & went with a bunch of guys from work one time.... needless to say it was interesting.....
the girls thought it was cool I was out with the fellas..... it was all fun & games.... I think some of these gals need to see the inside of one of these places.... Might give them a bit more confidence in themselves.... not all those gals had perfect bods, but they had the attitude!

You are exactly right... 80% of them are average looking girls that you meet every day. It's more of a relaxed atmosphere than it is erotic or anything like that.

Marriage is a two-way street so she had better get used to it. My wife goes to Chippingdales and I go to the Gold Club. She gets a lap dance and I get a lap dance. It has worked for me for 20 years. Now the VIP Room is another story that she doesn't know about...

 

My wife wouldn't mind it and she wouldn't try to tell me what to do. I would never cheat on her so I expect enough trust to let me go without a bunch of crap.

 

My last GF used to drag me along to strip clubs with her. It was just terrible.
