Ok, take it from one who has a "controlling" wife who also threatened to not go through with the wedding if we went to the nudey bars, go and have fun, tell your fiancé and see what happens. Odds are she was bluffing. Yeah, she'll be made for a day or so but will soon get over it. I really doubt that she would not go through with the wedding.
If she really gets upset, then just blame it in the groomsmen, after all, you didn't plan the party and you weren't driving so you had no control over anything
The key here is to show her that you listen to her and care about her feelings, then turn around and do what you want anyways!

 

Thats been my reation to everyone since early grade school... Sometimes even let people think that I am doing things thier way... Then I do it mine by the time they find out or "if" they find out it is to late.

 

I say go for it. If she really won't marry him because he LOOKED at a stripper, then she's thought about NOT marrying him already, and there's more to it than just the stripper...

My GF is really cool about it all. In fact tonight she's going to a loungerie/"toy" party over at her friends house, well all of us guys decided we were going to go to the Hootie-Can Bar... My GF said hey good idea have fun... Well, the wives all bitched and moaned, and well now we're going up to my buddies Dad's to help clean out a shed...

My GF is like some of those mentioned, she'll point out hot chicks for me to look at... She says she doesn't care what I LOOK at as long as I know what I should touch...

She even bought me a SI Swimsuit poster for the garage... It's right next to the Hooters calender my buddy gave me, because his wife bitched about him having it on a shelf in the closet.

oh, and I really don't like the food at Hooters, and the girls there just aren't worth paying for expensive bad food, but my GF loves the wings and insists that we go there occasionally... I've always been under the impression that unless it's REALLY something to look at why bother, can't have any anyway...

If you're in the DFW area though I'd highly recommend Bone Daddy's. Great food, and about halfway through dinner my GF brought it to my attention they were wearing shoes... I think Hooters hires the rejects from Bone Daddy's...

 

My wife's cool about the strip club thing. Hell, she has gone with me to them a couple times. The best time is when we got a 2-for-1 lap dance Good stuff!

What my wife doesn't like is when strippers come to someone's house, non-club environment. I have been to these parties before and I'll agree more "things" happen here.

I doubt your buddies fiance will back out. Too much money invested already, I'm sure. All talk.

My wife doesn't like the idea, but wont blow her top. Like zap mentioned, we are both grown adults, and the trust between us is awesome....she knows what tool box my tool goes in.

 

My fiancee is AOK with strip clubs. But then again, I've only gone once. It just not my thing. As for bachelor parties, she understands the sacred nature of a bachelor party.

 

Exactly! Hubby & his friends have a club that they prefer to frequent for such occcasions (& there has to be such occasion for them to go). I even know the name of his favorite girl, Peaches. Someday we'll take a trip there together so I can see her in person. Until then I'll keep reminding him what he can get from me & not her.

Hey D, what about haveing the party at Dave & Busters? I had my sisters party there (she was only 19), we even ended up having the guys party at the same time. Everyone had a blast & the staff there were outstanding. There prices aren't as bad as it would seem. Its definitely worth checking out since you can't go the hootie-can route.

Well the deal is I'm not doing the stripper thing for the big party... my other plans are already in place and mostly paid for already. Limo transportation for the day, a luxury suite for a Tigers game, Whirleyball & party at my place. Gonna be an all-day party-thon. Then a week or so later him & a few very close friends will hit the strip club. That way I don't have to worry about someone opening their big trap and ruining the guys day. Sad, but that's the way its going to be.

I have to agree with most everyone here. She is bluffing! She must be one of those women that use threats to get what she wants and if he lets her, hes in for it. He has to stand up to her or walk away. All he has to do it threaten to go Jamzwayne on her, she will back down.

My exwife didnt really like it when I would to to one, but she never told me I couldnt. She was insecure with herself, but she did trust me. I only went on certain occasions, its not like i hung out there all the time. She liked going to Hooters, but would never go to a club with me.

Like Tim Wilson once said, he hates going into those places. Hes in there dropping 20's like there is no tomorrow and shes all over him. Next thing you know, its 2 oclock in the morning and the lights come, all of a sudden shes married with 2 kids and has to go home!

 

Tell me about it. I dzerv to go in the best man hall of fame. Three G's for a flippen' bachelor party...


EDIT: The best part is that my bud doesn't know anything about the plans, and the wife keeps asking him and he really doesn't know anything (as everyone has been sworn to not say anything) so she is already worrying about nudie-ness. It's great! I'm going to cause her as much grief as possible.
