Thanks everybody!

paul, when did they start doing the Meguiar's thing? Isn't that awesome? What did you think of the place?

01 XLT Sport, I just discovered the telescoping feature too! This baby has more than I expected! I pulled it all the way out as far as it would go. I even discovered the crank **** for the seat height adjustment. It's hidden in the front of the seat on the right side. Had to feel around for it.

98, I'm looking up the 3M product now. My only concern is, the condition the paint must be in before the 3M is applied. I just get nutso about it being in perfect condition, I mean polished, waxed and swirl free. I'm sure whoever applys it knows to clean those areas too...but. Would it be a problem if the 3M is applied over a wax?

Joe, now I can actually have my OWN car in my sig, that is actually a FORD. lol

I'm gonna upload some more pics of it in a few minutes.

It's even got a pen/pencil holder in the lower console! So handy...

According to 3M Paint Protection Film FAQ:
http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/_...5/_s.155/98916

Q. Can I use wax over Scotchgard™ Paint Protection Film?
A. Yes. When waxing the vehicle, some wax may build up along the film edges. This can easily be removed when dry with a soft cloth, such as a 3M™ High Performance Cloth. Do not use any waxes containing dyes or waxes that are not recommended for urethanes. Abrasive polishes and/or rubbing compounds are not to be used.

And I read it can be applied to painted bumpers as well. I guess going over those portions covered in 3M with my dual action polisher is out?

Also read that you shouldn't get the area wet for at least a day, and then it'll be fine after that for water applications.

Read that also, it won't damage the paint if removed, but the paint must be cured. Are the Ford paints cured?? (What's that mean anyway?)

edit: Is Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax (or any of Meg's waxes) urethane safe?

Should I paint the front calipers sonic blue?

Cool pen holder:

I would get the whole front done, with 3M, as well as part of the hood:
