I think the evaluator had mercy on me when I took my driving test.

I remember a couple of questions:
"Aren't you going to put your seatbelt on?"
Me: "Uh, this car doesn't have seatbelts"
(They were optional on the 1960 Plymouth Belvedere)

"How fast are you going?"
Me: (banging the top of the dash)"Uh, I'm not sure, this thing sticks sometimes"

I was so nervous parallel parking, hoping I would Push the correct Button on the dash, P R N D 2 L.

It was like operating a washing machine.

I passed both the written and driving first time. Almost didn't pass the driving though, A board was in the middle of where my passenger tires were, so I carefully went to the left to avoid anything that might give me a flat or something. Guess the officer didn't like that and docked me 20 points for driving on the wrong side of the road I still passed though!

Went all the way till I was 21 before I got a ticket (happened in December), and with the probation stuff it will never show up on my record (thats over on Wednesday ). Now just waiting till I'm 24 and insurance will hopefully go down..

I passed my test first time out. I had to take the test in a crew cab dually diesel that my dad had at the time. It was funny that we had to disconnect from a 20 foot horse trailer in the parking lot so I could take it. I made a 97 on the test and never looked back. Several years ago I had to get a CDL and passed that test with a 100. I cant imagine taking the written test that many times, but it shows he wasnt a quitter!
