If you can stomach appalling grammar and spelling, along with improper word usage (especially the misuse of “then” and “than” and “your” and “you’re”) you should be O.K.
(I see that you can actually write and have a grasp of basic grammar so you are miles ahead of many here).
Some general stuff you should know:
With regard to addressing issues at hand (trucks), you are correct, in that you will get responses fairly quickly, especially if any hint of contention exists between the brethren who can have a rather wide range of opinions. Although it can get ugly sometimes, the group hug afterwards makes it all worthwhile, especially for our gay members.
Usually, the advice / information you pick up here is useful. There are numerous boards dedicated to specific topics, so take a minute to make sure your question is in the appropriate forum. If unsure, post it in “General Discussion”. The mods will move posts as needed.
And speaking of the mods, they are pretty cool here.
And speaking of “general discussion” this is the place where just about anything goes, except when it doesn’t. In other words, keep it PG rated.
Concerning outside topics in GD that you might want to be made aware of:
Politics: The left and right, liberal and conservative, us and them mindset is pretty well entrenched here. If you can, try to avoid political threads as they ultimately resolve nothing and eventually end up getting locked anyway (but not until a good number of people proclaim that Bush is God and anyone not supporting him should be shot, and the others proclaim that Bush is the Devil. (That, by the way, sums up 99 percent of what political threads are about, the other one percent being about the lazy bastards taking advantage of the welfare state and how the person posting worked hard for their money to buy the computer they are typing their screed on).
Cats: Many here hate them, and in a mechanical side note, they are good for preventing detonation. They also make good speed bumps (refer to “Burt”), and the vote in Wisconsin is being viewed with great interest here (along with many waiting to buy planes tickets to Madison).
Guns: Many here have an arsenal. They like to post pictures of it. It usually consists of 200 handguns and rifles or more. Be careful what you say to these people.
Females: We have some female members here. Whenever a new female member comes on board, 10,000 responses of intense leg-humping occur. If you’re female, you might want to keep that to yourself (unless you’re an attention *****). And speaking of females, the inevitable “Hey! Here’s a great idea! Let’s all post pictures of hot chicks!”, post arises from the dead, and eventually gets closed after numerous 12 year-olds keep pushing the envelope of decency. Have fun with it but don’t go overboard.
Welcome To Last Week: If you repost an topic that was posted within . . . let’s say the past month . . . you’re gonna get hit with this one. Use this:

Testosterone: Lately, it’s been running rampant in this forum, a lot of braggadocios posturing about how they beat the crap out of someone which results in others chiming in about their violent exploits and/or how they wish they could be involved in violent exploits. If this is your thing, enjoy; otherwise ignore them for the 12 year olds that they are.
FORD RULES: You can try to ask questions, or make observations about other vehicle makes, and usually they can be accepted and discussed in a civilized manner, but be prepared for the inevitable “Brand X SUCKS!” and “Live by Ford, die by Ford!” comments and mentality.
That pretty much sums up what’s going on around here now. It’s a pretty good bunch of people and you can learn an amazing amount of things here, and not just about F150s. Raoul comes here to learn how to behave in any given social situation, and how to live his life in general . . . it’s THAT informative of a place.
Welcome.
