The extra 40 beans a week is almost worth it. Couldn't see just going from point A to B IMO.

I can recall when I thought 50 cents a gallon was outrageous - now I'm getting used to the idea that I may never $1.75 a gallon again.
To get prices down - we have to decrease our consumption. The gas companies world wide know us well; we just don't want to decrease our fuel consumption on a sustained basis. We'll howl about it - but continue to use as much gas as want. They know this! Doesn't make any difference how many days a week you choose to fill up or not if our consumption (demand) is the same. Some how if we're using 10 gals a week - we need to get it down to about 6-7 gals a week - and keep it there, not for a couple of weeks, but maybe for years.
For now - lLike others in here - I have a 94(V6) 4WD Ranger thats my daily driver. It runs good, I change oil on it 4-5 times a year, gets about 18-19 mpg, gets though the snow well, insurance isn't too bad and keeps normal daily wear from my L which I can keep in the garage in the winter and just take out on "dates" etc.
