It's a Canadair CT-114 Tutor per their site. A trainer.
Edit: If I remember correctly, every flight demo team in the world, except the US teams, use trainers instead of fighters. This does not include individual demos like the Russians and their Mig 29 and SU 27 aircraft.

yep..our "trainers"...have served us well and beyond....

I believe the Cdn Govt just injected some much needed cash to take the birds to 2010 or something....

I believe their lifespan was supposed to end a while ago....

Also known as- the F-5 Freedom Fighter or (Tiger); depending on who you talk to, and what you read..

Just like the A-10 Warthog / A-10 Thunderbolt II.

This looks like it would've been a match for the MiG-21, but she arrived a little late for the dance...

I watched a long-**** Vietnam thingy on "The Military Channel" that replaced Discovery Wings. I didn't know we had rules of engagment agains the MiG's too in Vietnam, to include not bombing them while they were on the ground, and not chasing them if it seemed they were running away.

If we had quit BSing, that war could have been over in a few months, or a year... The more I learn about Vietnam and our policies and boxes that we fought from, the more PO'd I get...

At least we got some measue of a nose punch (Operation: Rolling Thunder and Operation: Linebacker II)

Way to go BUFF's...
