So I was on a wide open road today. I was in a hurry to get home for a special dinner that our friends were bringing over, and I decided to see what the truck would do.

Now, I know that there will be those of you who don't excuse this type of behavior no matter what the circumstance, so I'll just tell you right now that you're right.... I'm a bad boy....yada yada yada, but I did it anyway.

So I crest a hill where I can clearly see about 3 miles of wide open road, and there are no houses on this stretch, so I stood on the accelerator pedal.

103 miles per hour. That's all my F150 will do because of the gov. But... that's enough to make the drive extremely fun. This road has alot of very slight rises and falls, my gut was tossing and turning, I was having a blast.

Soon though, another F-150 loomed on the horizon, and I had to bring it back down when I caught up to him. I could have blown by him, but I had my fun. Don't think I'll ever do that again, but now I know that this truck handles 100 mph just fine, and it's got a fairly tight feel for such a heavy pig.

Fun.

2004 F150 Lariat 100 before tune, 135 after tune.

2006 F250 V10 96 before tune, TBD when the livewire gets here.

I got my '99 up past 100 mph... I think I went around 105 maybe 110 mph stock tune. It was awesome to see my needle pegged. Not to mention that it seemed like I was losing fuel watching my gas gauge... LOL

I know you guys will poke fun at me... but my '07 hasn't seen 65 mph yet and it's got 3,500 miles on it.

You are just asking to create a tornado from that thing... lemme ask you something... lol, when you were going 85, did your van act as a giant blower and blow all the dirt off the road and push other cars off the road from the force of the air displacement?

J/k

I betcha that was scary!

I pulled it onto a scale last month to see how much it weighs with all my high voltage gear, and it was 8800 lbs. with a half tank of gas. So.....yeah.....85 is a little scary being it handles like a covered wagon on a rocky pass.

It's as much fun to drive as a root canal.

just over 100, maybe 102 or so, is as high as I've had it.. that was stock, and I'm sure it would have gone a bit more.. I cruise at 95 as much as I can between here and Waco and other than sucking down the gas I'd do 95 everywhere if I could..
