Attempted ATV trip - was a bust

How many times has this happened to you???

Well I should have checked with the ranger district as to whether or not the gate was open for Storm MTN here in CO. But I have some very neat pictures of the trip in the gallery.

It was a shame that the truck got dirtier than the ATV in the back of it. The camera doesn't do it justice for how dirty it got...(was worse by the time I got home).

Guess that is what I get for not calling...oh well, the view was worth it!

Storm Mountain is in Larimer County, if you look up Drake, CO on mapquest it is pretty much 4 mi northwest of drake. There are some gates controlled by the DOW and Rangers.

Very good trail, you can only ATV the last few miles of it though because of the locals.

What I forgot to mention, the views I saw from my parked truck are nothing compared to the views from atop storm mountain...
