It's pretty obvious that a lot of the guys going off about shooting "Warning" shots, flashing guns to scare, or filling their trucks with Holes Aren't responsible gun owners or Conceal Carry holders.

Even if you DO have a reason to shoot someone you can count on Going to jail, spending tens of thousands of dollars in bond money and attorney fee's explaining actions. This is just the reality of it. And then you'd probably face Civil charges from the Thugs mother or something after that. That's the society we live it.

I don't think Killing someone is a just punishment for a KID screwing around.

I'll also say, if I see you in my neighborhood shooting "warning shots" down the road towards MY house there's gonna be trouble. That's not cool..

I don't think that most people are going to go out taking pot shots or abusing thier privelidge to carry.

BTW I have to ask... (If) you did see that in your neighborhood... What are you going to do... shoot back? LOL

If I was carrying a gun, like a .357 or something and someone fired a gun at me then it’s equal. It doesn’t matter if they fired a paintball gun or pellet gun at me.

You can not use the argument that ”well they only had a paintball gun of pellet gun” Very stupid argument because those guns too can be deadly.

It reminds me of the animals rioting because of Rodney dumbass King. I was in Long Beach in the Navy at the time. Had to get the wife and kids out of town since the morons were burning it down and threatening to start burning down Navy housing.

Anyway since there were, from watching TV, some real morons without brains on the streets throwing rocks and bricks at cars I put my 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter in the back of my 79 Camaro and covered them with 5 Navy wool blankets.

I told my wife what was intentions were before we left. She had seen the idiots on TV throwing crap and sometimes pulling people out of their cars. I told her to lock her door, put on her seatbelt and if some moron jumped in front of the car to throw something I would run his worthless body over and drag it under the car until it came loose on the freeway.

Same scenario, they had deadly weapons (rocks and brinks) and I had mine, 4,000 lb 400hp Camaro. Not my problem they were stupid…

Unfortunately (DAM IT) no one jumped in front of me and I never stopped at any lights. Since there was not many people driving in the city I was able to do 75mph through the city until I got to the freeway.

Cops all wussed out, freaking worthless POS in that particular week…

I DO have my CC license...

That's why if you have one you can't just become a vigilanty. Say you see some guy running out of 7/11 with a gun and you shoot him. Then you find out he was an under-cover cop chasing the Bad Guy that ran out just before you got there.....

The rules for engagement are:

1. Only if you can prove you are in great harm
2. There is NO way for you to escape or Retreat from that harm.

Makes it kind of hard huh?

You Don't have to show retreat in a home invasion though. You can "stand your ground" or something like that...

My neighbor kids are always running around with paint ball guns. One day I awoke to see my front door had been shot. I waited, cool off. Then when I saw them all outside again one day I had a "talk" with them. I explained I too had a wife and kids in the house and would do "Anything" to protect them.

They got the idea. Kids aren't as tough when you're right in their face in the middle of the day.

Actually the law makes it tougher than that. You can't shoot at somebody that's not on your property, I can't shoot someone just because they broke into my house. They have to have a weapon and be threatening me or my wife and kids before I can shoot thier sorry asses "legally". Once they run or have thier back turned I can not fire either. We all know that's a bunch of BS! I will shoot and not think twice about it, then I'll deal with the consequinces later.

Eidited to add:
If you dont want to be "vigualanty" (if that what you call protecting yourself) and want to be legal eagle then your pretty much screwed.

Damn hippie!

I've had my ccw permit for almost 2 years now.

I'm not even going to touch the issue of when and where you can defend yourself.

I don't condone shooting people or anything like that. In today's society, you're almost better off, in a legal and financial matter, to let a crook shoot you instead of you shooting them in self defense.

Someone popping a pellet gun at me and my truck? I think I'd personally call the cops before taking any direct action myself, as fulfilling and tempting that would be.

Reminds me of the time when a 6 or 7 year old kid down the street threw a rock at my truck while I was going down the road. It hit the hood, but didn't do any damage. I was pissed, but there wasn't much I could do Except lay down on the horn. It was just a kid. Kids do childish things. I could have turned around, got out, and took my belt to his ****. But, I bit my lip and went on my way. You have to think before you react.

It don’t matter if the person breaking into your house has any weapons on them or not and you shoot them dead. It would be very easy to plant one of your kitchen knifes in their dead hand for when you finally got around to calling the police…

Unfortunately in our society today criminals have way more rights then they should and if you don’t want to get screwed, like sued etc by the some turd that invaded your home you have to make sure they are dead…

”Hey, looks like he is still moving, SHOOT HIM AGAIN, there, not moving anymore, call 911”

I believe anyone that enters another person home without permission is fair game to kill. If someone comes crashing through my door they had better be screaming FIRE, or WE HAVE A SEARCH WARRANT… otherwise they may end up dead.

Also, I see nothing wrong at all killing a child molester…

EDIT:
A kid throwing a rock is different than someone shooting your vehicle. If the window is down the pellet comes in & enters your ear lobe & you die...a rock hurts. In response to the kid, the kid should be arrested [/B][/QUOTE]

Yes it is different. But take for instance, what if a 3 year old kid was shooting at you with a bb gun? Are you going to return fire? What I'm trying to say is, there are people out there that can't control their temper and think clearly in instances like this. And they might do something to really hurt the kid all because they were mad? I'd say they'd be in more trouble than the kid would be in. That's for sure. And as far as the kid shooting me in my earlobe, I'd think I'd take that chance and try to take the gun away from the kid. What's the odds of the kid shooting you in the earlobe? Hell, he'd have to be a crack shot to pull that off.

I completley agree. At 18 years old, he is old enough to take responsability for his actions. If he gets shot, so be it. If innocent kids are involved, it's time to take action.

I bet he didn’t even have a Concealed Weapons license. LOL
It's not the licensed guys packing that I worry about. They are usually responsible. It's the ones that carry and don’t worry about getting a license or a permit to carry that are going to react in an irrational manor.

Guns kill people and it is the people who decide to use them that does the killing

People kill people. With your line of thinking, maybe we should outlaw cars, trucks, steak knives, alcohol, ash trays, sticks, stones, bricks, baseball bats.....
