Most of the ones I have lived around have all the kids gather at some street corner...although there are alot of times when mutliple school busses stop right behind each other for different schools.

I noticed that around here too. What the hell is up with that. There is a great place here where they can all meet and get on the bus at the same. I figure why the pick them up at each house is because that they don't have sidewalks around here, which I don't know why they don't. Oh well and I hate it too!

I come around a corner in the mornin right before the school bus normally does, and I notice if im in my diesel, all the kids grab their stuff and stand up before they notice its me. Gotta love that a International T444e is the twin brother of the ole powerstroke...

The busses don't bother me as much as the school zones with their flashing lights and lowered speed limits. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem slowing down in a school zone, but when those stupid lights are flashing and there isn't a child in sight, that's when I get pissed. The speed limit on our street is already 20 and when the lights flash it's supposed to be 15 and you'd better do it too because the cops hang out at the school on random days. Sorry but I don't see a huge difference in the stopping distance between 15 and 20 and my truck almost idles faster then 15!!! Doesn't help that parents don't teach their kids how to cross a road these days. They bail out of the building and are suddenly EVERYWHERE. Maybe they should teach a little traffic safety in school.

Sorry...rant over...
