No; but, it scared the hell out of me. By then you didn't know who you could get it from. It was all over the news every night. You were constantly being lectured. There were TV shows about it. It was integrated into pop culture in general. It was everywhere. It wasn't just a gay thing; and, it could kill you. You hardly ever hear about it today. Not like you did then. Free love was finally and officially over.
