What to do with used toner cartridges?
What to do with used toner cartridges?
One of the animal shelters I have recently started working with is doing a program to help raise funds and help the environment as well. The shelter is MaxFund in Denver, Colorado. Their website can be found at www.maxfund.org. They specialize in taking injured and often sick dogs and cats, rehabilitating them, and adopting them out. They are a not for profit and rely mainly on volunteers and fundraisers to help their efforts.
Any used toner cartridges that might otherwise get tossed can help them raise a bit of funds as they are sold as refurbished, refilled, and resold.
If you have any used toner cartridges you aren't using and aren't sure what to do with them, and would like to help out a great cause, please feel free to let me know. You can send them to me or you can send them directly to the shelter.
My address is:
Matt Adams
8000 W Crestline Ave #1416
Littleton, CO 80123
They are also always looking for donations.

Matt's organization is a great one to choose. Keep in mind that there are several local options for this type of thing as well.
For example, we have a guy that comes by with a church group and collects these on a monthly basis. He's legit (I checked him out because I was reaping the benefit like dz mentioned as well). They take them and cash them in for a children's home that they maintain. Needless to say, like Matt, we're more than happy to donate to a good cause.
The bottom line, don't chuck your empty ink/toner cartridges! They're worth something to someone!
