I'd have picked him up and sat him in there without a second thought- or any disdain towards him or the situation, but he didn't want that kind of help. I guess I just can't watch people suffer...

Ha, got another one for ya CIA,

At one time, I used to race bicycles. I went to a race, and as often happens, I had to take a "dump" prior to the race start. I only had a few minutes, and found a restroom at a public park where the race was being staged. I ran into the Men's room frantically looking for a free stall. There was a guy in a wheelchair washing his hands at the sink. I figured he'd just finished, and grabbed the handicapped stall because of the room available to take off some of the lycra and shoes, etc. About the time I sat down and began releasing toilet trout to the wild, this guy in the wheelchair rolls up to the open door (yeah, I forgot to latch it.) and begins a conversation with me, Knees to knees. Do you race often? Do you often use the only handicapped toilet? Do you also park in handicapped spaces? I'm shootin' fish, and he's shootin' questions.
Turns out he had just finished cleaning the nasty public toilet area so he could use it. He went to wash his hands after the cleanup. When he returned to the self-cleaned toilet, there was this sweating lycra clad bozo crapping up his recently sanitized domain.

I apologized, but he still just sat there watching me finish and clean up before I rushed out the door to race.

Oh, why is the American Flag upside down in FL's sig.......

I'm just glad it is.
If she's mad at me, she might cut her classmate some slack.

(She won't read this until she gets out of school and today is Friday.)

Here is an idea.
If you don't want anyone to talk about what you eat,
don't come in here and spill your guts.

I have never ever laughed at anyone with a disability of any kind...unless they are making jokes about it them self’s...But those two stories I had to laugh at you guys for that thanks for sharing them, it's nice to know that I’m not the only one to get myself in those type of situations!

Back on topic...I know what the teacher is thinking and she has good intentions I also know how FL feels "Like many others likely do too"...I think the teacher has good intentions but definitely is not the way to get a desirable result from the situation. Basic psychology tells you that. You can say it is the same as a kid complaining about doing thier chores but I watch people at work often after a supervisor ask them to do an extra task they grinch and groan the whole time they are doing it too. It's not just the kids whining! It's programed into us to dislike being forced into doing anything much less extra work. Give people choices...(IE: At work either do this for me or clock out and don't come back...You know what? I give them the choice and they do it with out complaints! LOL)
