It is disrespectful to represent the Colors upside down.
It is used as a signal of distress and performing acts of civic duty under duress in the high school classroom does not qualify.

A freind of mine; who I met in his wheel chair; refused help of any kind. We used to go to lunch together, and he'd drive. You've never lived until you've ridden in a van with a speeder who has to steer, brake and accellerate with his hands. However, that was the only choice- he didn't want any assistance gettign in or out of the van. I'd have picked him up and sat him in there without a second thought- or any disdain towards him or the situation, but he didn't want that kind of help. I guess I just can't watch people suffer...

Funny story:
I was on my way home a few years ago, and I stopped at a gas station in Shreveport, LA. The wife & I went in to pay for the gas, grab a snack or three, use the restroom, etc..
While I was in the bathroom this guy came in, in a wheelchair. This was the saddest thing I ever saw. He was very thin and his clothes were very baggy. He was trying to undo his pants to use the urinal next to me. I was finishing up, and he was still bucking & squirming trying to get his pants loose (HE must've had to go badly). Realizing that he probably wouldn't make it; I asked him out of the clear blue sky: "Is there anything I can do to help?" Right then I had an out of body experience.. I stepped outside my body, slapped the he** out of myself and told myself~ "And just HOW do you plan on helping him? You gonna hold willie for him or something?"
Realizing what the heck had just come out of my mouth, and understanding the fact that he probably was thinking the same thing; I hurriedly got the heck out of there before he had a chance to say- "Sure, can you hold this for me, while I pee?"
Aw man, that's funny looking back at it, but at the time- I was quite embarrassed... I have never even told my wife what I just told you guys. I guess I was just trying to leave the area, quickly.

To me I'm not disrespecting anything. I'm not about to modify my sig again; that is one damn good reflection made through my own sweat and effort. Check it out, the green bird is flying upside down too. My house is upside down too. So are the trees. I thought it was wonderful to get the flag in my pic; give it some LIFE. I wanted it to be that way. So, if you have a problem with it, sort it out with Steve, and make him tell me to change it because I'm offending somebody or something. It's just a piece of work created by USA-made Meguiar's and USA-made me.
