All STX owners post pics!
was that about a 35-40MPH crash in that truck? I've seen plenty of 2004 F150's that have been crashed up already and everytime I see them, it amazes me to see how well they hold up! If you look at the picture, sure a lot of things broke, but the truck looks like it held up very good all in all!

nope, that was doing about 80-90mph into a vehicle (sorta smacked its front end with my front end) and then into a concrete guard rail head on pretty much. im not sure how fast i was going when i hit the guard rail....but i do know that most of the damage didnt come from hitting a little hyundai elentra.....my engine dropped, A-frame got bent up. dont know anything about any of the other components under the hood since those were the 2 major things my insurance agent told me as they announced my truck totalled. as far as the inside of my truck it was flawless as i stumbled out of it to get away from the smoking smell. my door opened just fine and nothing else inside the cab looked damaged. Lol even my cd player was still playing.
PS everyone was fine.
PSS there are a few more pictures of the wrecked truck in my gallery if yall wanna take a peeker.

Qiterplop,
I sure hate that for ya. Glad your ok, and getting back into another STX!!!!
Keep on keeping on!!!!
Scott 7065,
I know of a few differences...
Chrome Bumpers (as you stated)
Chrome Grill Ring
5.4L Option
You can probably get a lower geared differential also. I believe the STX only goes as low as a 3.73LS.
If I had known I could have gotten an XL with a 5.4L, I would have gone that route.
Anybody else know any other differences?

I too am an STX owner and it's great too see there is actually a thread on here for all of us!
My STX is a 2005 4.6L Regular Cab Silver. So far I have added dual Magnaflow exhaust and Airaid intake. I was going to get the Xcalibrator II too but the guy who installed my alarm said messing with the CPU and most importantly removing the Rev limiter has been known to blow engines and void warrantys even with the ability to reprogram to stock... so that kind of scared me away from it. My next mods (just ordered the parts tonight) is a 2.5" Daystar level kit and chrome bolt on fuel door. I would very much like to add 18x10 Mickey Thompson Classic Lock Rims but I don't know if they will fit and what size will fit... I want them pretty damn bad though so if anyone knows the right bolt size for this rim and my truck let me know... all I could find was 18x10 6-135mm whatever that means... anyway... view me gallery if you want. I look forward to any and all input!
