Infuriated

Ok guys, I don't know of any other way or place to vent so I guess I'll do it on here (My friends don't care much about cars).

The setup: As some of you should have figured out by now, I'm still in high school (no flames please). I don't know if any of you remember about what it was like having a car during high school, but for people that appreciate them, it's your pride and joy, you're favorite thing, and you devote a lot of time, money, and care towards it. Today went as a pretty good day. Classes were fine, no bad grades, no arguments with teachers or other students. I was walking down to our Senior parking lot to leave to go home after school. I had backed into my spot this morning, and the view of the rear of my truck was a little obscured from the side because of an SUV that parked next to me. Anyway, I walk to the passenger door, open it, throw my bag in, then glance up because I saw something bright out of the corner of my eye. On windshield, someone had either shot or thrown about 10 paintballs into it and it was EVERYWHERE...It got all in the wiper blades, inside the wipers themselves, in the cracks between the windshield and the frame, splatter on the hood, everywhere. I was already pissed. I got a sick feeling and walked to the back. The same thing had happened to the rear window. All over the place. What was bad about this window was that it got underneath the window itself (you know that little gap between the window and the grey frame). There were numerous broken paintballs laying in the bed, not to mention the splatter all over my bed liner too. Walk around to the other side, and it's clean except for theno arguments with teachers or other students. I was walking down to our Senior parking lot to leave to go home after school. Two had hit it and someone rubbed it all over it so it was all oily and smeared...I don't think the word infuriated sums up what I was really feeling.

Nothing provoked this. I have tons of friends and I'm friends with pretty much everyone that talks to me. I'm a nice guy. I just don't see why people have to get pleasure out of doing things like this...My truck has already been keyed, and now this happens. If i catch someone doing something like this to my truck or anyone elses car/truck again, they'll have "Louisville Slugger" imprinted across theyre face. For a kid still in high school, spending a total of about 1600 bucks on my truck over the past year and a half is pretty crazy. I'm a huge truck guy. I'm so mad I'm losing my train of thought so I'll just leave it at that. There's plenty more to be said, but I don't want to say it. Thanks for listening to me complain......

I just don't understand why people have to destroy other peoples property like that. I am probably sure this was a random thing by other kids who probably thought it was funny. I wish we could go back to the days of where if you had a problem with someone, you faced them directly, not by destorying thier belongings.

Don't worry about the posts, Steve (Webmaster) is working on it and it is happening to almost everyone.

I wish I had been born sooner...It's hard being a teenager during these times. It seems like all any teenager wants to do is pick fights with each other and screw things up and get pleasure from hurting people's self esteem..I know it was random, but my truck was the only one that was hit (besides my friends 2 door Tahoe which got hit once). I have a feeling it's somebody that just doesn't like me for some reason...

SP (is still mad)

Man, I feel your pain. I absolutely hated school because so many people were so stupid and so spiteful and mean, and that was 20 years ago. If you are around large groups of people, keep in mind that many of them are just plain stupid and mean. The best revenge is to live well and be successful and leave the bottom-feeders to their mobile homes, welfare lines and drug addictions. Rise above it because anything less is to lower yourself to their level. Busy yourself with success and petty irritating people will no longer be an important part of your life.

Yeah I try to do that as much as I can. It's hard not to let this slide, but I know that the reason people do these things is to get a rise out of people. If you get mad and you show it and they see it, then it'll make them want to do it again and again...

I know what its like. I had these two trucks in my sig when i was going thru high school in small-town Midwest America (1998-2002). Lots of jealous, lazy people that think they deserve your stuff, just because you put fourth the effort to have a nice truck. My 98 was always shined better than new money, and always had girls riding with me in it. Lots of jealous looks, but im about the last person on earth to ever look down on someone or not be friends with them. Like you SP, Im not bragging, but im a decent, easy going guy thats got lots of friends, and would be friends wtih anyone. My truck used to get egged, ice cream, vasoline under the windsheild wipers, and all kinds of other stuff, my drivers side window got busted out here at college last semester, but no substancial damage ever done to it. It's aggrivating. I would be mad if i caught someone doing something to my 98, but if i EVER catch someone doing bad things to my red 53, hell will be unleashed. My dad and I have 3 years of restoration and +/- $20,000 invested in it. It wont be pretty.

Keep your head up, just remember not to ever do things like that to other peoples things, try and be on a higher level than them.

That is very true, especially the last sentence. That is what they feed on. They want to see you get mad and throw fits. If you just ignore them, they will eventually go away because they know they can't get to you. Then they will just go find someone else who they can try to torment. They get thrills out of seeing others get mad or if they show any emotions.

Yeah I know what you mean about the girls thing...In my city, hanging out downtown is a huge thing...There's a big parking lot where all the kids from high school chill and talk and stuff. They all know me, and every weekend (different girl each time of course) I drive in (with my exhaust) park and go see a movie or something...

People suck.

What's funny is I will actually do something about it if I catch them doing it to someone elses car, especially my friends. What's bad about my school is that it's a prep school and sorry to say, an all guys school (NO FLAMES PLEASE). It's a huge campus (laid out like college campuses) and the majority of the students (it's a boarding school too) are very wealthy. They drive their M3's, their H2's, their IS300's, etc. They think that they're better than everyone and theyre usually the ones that do this kinda stuff.

Just a side note, to show how spoiled people are:
Guy I know at my school turns 16, gets a silver M3 04 model. Has it for 3 days, tries to take a turn doing about 80, slams into a curb, and tears up his right rims. He gets a new M3. End of story.

SP

PS: I'm not rich or spoiled. I worked for every single thing that I have.

SP.. I know nothing anyone here can say will make you feel any better about what happend. But listen to us and take our advice and things will be fine. You seem like a pretty level headed guy (you own a ford, you have to be) Anyway the same crap happened to me when I was in high school. I was a good kid, had lots of friends and no enemies. One day I went to my car after school and found someone poured an entire chocolate shake on the roof and the hood. It was nasty and took forever to get out of all the cracks and window frames. It was the first and last time it ever happened. I went to public school but had the spoiled rich kids there to. But heres the thing, those guys dont know how to appreciate anything. Yeh , they may have more money than you and I but who cares there gonna go thru life trying to find things to make them feel better about themselves (like paintballing your truck), not knowing how to enjoy the simple pleaseures in life like actually working for a living and spending your hard earned cash on a truck you love and take care of. I say just let it slide, if you catch them doing it I wouldnt get crazy and start hitting them with the bat, thats the last thing you need. Now your stooping to their level and that just sucks. Fighting isnt worth it, take it from me , I know. Clean your truck up real nice, get your girl and go hang out this weekend and show off your clean truck and nice exhaust and dont sweat the paintball stuff. That will **** off whoever did it, because now it backfired in there face. Like it was said before, if you make a huge deal out of it, they will see that, like it and maybe even do it again. I hate ignorant *** people...Ignore them and they will go away and your life will be much better. Sorry if I rambled on and on, but just wanted to give some advice from someone whos been there. By the way, ive worked my *** off my entire life and im on my 7th vehicle (5 cars and 2 trucks) and I payed for each and everyone of them on my own and I wouldnt trade that for anything.

Thanks. I said the baseball comment while I was still pretty hot-headed...

Expanding on the spoiled kids thing- theres a guy at school a grade below me who got an 04 supercrew fx4 for his 16th birthday. The week after that, he came to school with a 6 inch suspension, nice wheels, 35's, custom brush guard, and 1000's of dollars in other goodies. Sure, that's like my dream truck, but I wouldn't want it. The best feeling I have ever gotten was when I saved and worked to buy my tires. It was all I ever thought about. And the day that I sat at the shop and watched them being mounted was a day I'll never forget. Same with the exhaust too. You appreciate things more when you work for them...Thanks a lot guys

YUP! I would agree! You appreciate things you work for. I probably had the nicest vehicle in high school that wasn't handed to them. I love my truck and wouldn't trade it for the world (unless the world was a Lightning)
