an astro is not 'full size' (unless they have redesigned it in the last few years). It is the same driveline and chassis as an s-10 blazer/pickup. My last three vehicles (2 chevy s-10 pickups and a blazer) shared service manuals with the astro vans. Aside from the body and some of the interior, they are all the same. Also in common with them was the Oldsmobile Bravada, which as a bit of trivia, shared the same mechanicals as the very rare AWD Astro Van.

The company van where I work is a chevy astro, spitting image of my 89 s-10, even down to the dashboard.

thats a big frickin minivan...... whats their full size then? if you ask me, the astro is around the same size as the big *** dodge vans... those are some monster *** vans to be considered minivans... to me? minivans are usually lower to the ground, more comfortable, smaller... but i guess you were right consumer guide rates it as a minivan.... and i also guess there are no more full size vans by chevy lol that sucks..... but i guess on a size scale, that would put the astro in the league of full size van, since its the biggest chevy offers.... like i said, the venture is more of a candidate for minivan... just my $0.02 all opinion though, but you have to agree that those are some BIG *** vans lol

Their full size van is called an express--comparable to the Ford Econoline.

as for that stereo.... nice... but a complete waste of money... if you ask me... first of all, it takes a certain amount of backpressure to make subs sound good... doesnt look like its getting that much with all that space below, second of all, those are a flat cone speaker, which tells me that its better off with the person listening to have the speakers facing him, instead, it looks like the hole in the cab just causes more backpressure to leak into the cab... and no sound... if he was using a reverse pressure design, and using the hard tonneau to be the "box" where are the ports? another fault.... to me? looks like a bunch of jumbled up speakers that look pretty... but wont function for crap when it comes down to real sound quality... i had 4 12" subs custom built to a slamboard in the back of my nova..... i out quaked people with 15" solobarics runnin on 2 amps
Yea there is definatley other places I'd rather invest my money too...Like performance!
Under that pretty looking speaker top there was a pressed wood box sealing them from all the leakes around the edges, those in the bed pushed a lot of air and rumbled everything around it. the bed was missing the mids.. the 4 6x9's were just over powered by the 6, 12's, I think it was the thump that he was wanting anyway.
I run 2 12" pyles on 400w's RMS then a second amp 100w RMS on 4 6" drivers and 4 2" tweeters. That is enough that I can't hear myself yell at 20 (out of 30) on the head. My friend owns a music shop and sets up sound for sereal major events across the nation and I used his DB meter and it is pushing 118DB at 30 HZ and 92 DB at 32 KHZ. The lows vibrate your chest and the highs make your skin crawl... Thats more than enough for me. The sad part is that my truck sounds better than my home system. LOL

When I get a chance I'll see what I might can do. It will take some time so somebody may be working on it now.

Thanks bunches guys i would love to see what my truck would look like sitting in my driveway with all those "goodies" on it i appreciate all the work any of you have/will put into it... i can do a few things with photo shop, but for some reason, the "easy" task of changing paint color, tinting windows, and adding items/changing ride height just seems so complex to me... its like greek trying to navigate through that toolbar lol

Iam working on my other computer on your pic as I am sending you this, had to a break. I think your going to like it. Couldnt really get the hood right, but I did put one of the openings on there. I dont think the running boards are the kind your want, but these I got on there look ok. I've added a few little extra details I think you will get a kick out of. l Hope you like. Still have a little bit to go one it. I have a lot of layers in this picture. I should have it up with in the hour.

Later..................saleen97

Without girls

This is so you can see it a little better, without the distractions.

oh my GOD that truck is going to look badass when im done!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!! LOL that is one hell of a job, although, the hood does look a little...... funny... LOL but it will do, doesnt take that much imagination, and with the way that looks as it sits, i think ill probably just keep the original hood anyways but wow... what a work of art, your gonna have to show me how to do that, i still dont see how its done using photo shop lol

Edited to add: The chicks are a VERY nice touch by the way.... good job makin em look like they were there LOL gonna have to put that up as my desktop!

Photo shop

Actually I use a program called " Picture it!" I think I got it at Office Depot or Staples. Any place that sells software should have it or something similar. Actually its a couple of years old so Iam sure theres better out there.
