another thing, you cant deny that mini vans and vans arent a big thing now days... think about it... all the capacity of cargo and people you could ask for, and if you didnt give a damn about that... you can put 8 15" subs in the back with ease!
True...You can get more in an Execursion though or atleast have enough room to build a box to give proper displacement for a few anyway...I'd feel much more comfortable both driving AND investing the money in an Exe.
If I really feel like I want to thump then my truck has a six foot bed... I might could fit one or two subs back there.
dude... what is it with people and wanting to put subs in the bed of their trucks? first of all, to do the wiring your gonna have to drill holes all up in your bed, and cab of your truck.. second of all, its NOT going to sound good.. even with a camper shell over it, the sound isnt going to travel like you would want it to... and you would probably spend more money putting a lot more subs and power into your bed, than putting 2 lesser power subs in the cab... so whats the point? lol an excursion is nice, but hell.... can you get one of those in V6? no... you can get an astro in V6 though.. so gas savings, style (if done as the photo shop suggested) and many sub woofers... or maybe your just a pimp and want an air mattress in the back... LOL works out either way
(the truck would work good with an air mattress as well, but you also have to think about the wheel well humps and a long bed would probably work better)

Can someone photo-chop one of these pics with the following items?
Chrome running boards... wheel to wheel if possible
Chrome billet grille
Chrome brush guard w/ 2 lights in the center (a nicer one, probably a westin style)
and this hood
so here is the pics of my truck, lets see how it looks : )

I was just joking about filling the bed. I build my system for me to hear and enjoy.
This guy cut the back of his cab and the front of his bed out then connected them via a ported panel. There were some drivers in the door and some tweeters on top of the door. It sounded good in and out of the truck.

Edited to later add
About pimping with the air matress in the bed..The fenders are not a problem they offer options for alternative positions!
the bigger problem is keeping the d*m thing from blowing out! LOL

LOL yeah, but the mattresses are pretty damn durable... id know
as for that stereo.... nice... but a complete waste of money... if you ask me... first of all, it takes a certain amount of backpressure to make subs sound good... doesnt look like its getting that much with all that space below, second of all, those are a flat cone speaker, which tells me that its better off with the person listening to have the speakers facing him, instead, it looks like the hole in the cab just causes more backpressure to leak into the cab... and no sound... if he was using a reverse pressure design, and using the hard tonneau to be the "box" where are the ports? another fault.... to me? looks like a bunch of jumbled up speakers that look pretty... but wont function for crap when it comes down to real sound quality... i had 4 12" subs custom built to a slamboard in the back of my nova..... i out quaked people with 15" solobarics runnin on 2 amps
