My autolamp seems to come on about 15 minutes later than what I would myself, and I often have to override them and manualy turn them on. I was thinking of doing some kind of Tape trick to partially mask the sensor, but if there is an adjustment, I'll look into that for sure.

Thanks Raoul.

I still see several people calling their A.L.'s (Auto Lamps) D.R.L.'s (Daytime Running Lamps) and visa versa. They are 2 seperate features A.L.'s are not bad "IF" they are set properly. D.R.L's Do help you to be seen sooner or further away even at high noon sun. But D.R.L.'s do NOT turn on the tail lights at anytime and A.L's do. There for a person who owns a vehicle equipped with D.R.L. only is more likely to neglect to turn on thier lights which leaves thier tail lights off. A dark vehicle at night with no tail lights...Yea I have almost ran over a few myself a time or two. BUT.... I am quilty of borrowing vehicles and driving long distances with the D.R.L. on and no tail lights myself before it got dark enough that I couldn't see the gauges. It's a common and easy mistake to make. So A.L. with D.R.L. is fine and I want it myself, but plain D.R.L., never for me thank you!!!

I had the DRL and AL on a Pontiac once. I liked the features together. The lights came on earlier than I would turn them on, so I just let them do their thing. I would NEVER own another GM product as long as I live though.

Day time running lights are great. You can spot a vehicle a long ways away. The purpose of DRL is so that other drivers see you people who disconnect them should be fined. People who drive with no headlights on at night are just idiots, I high beam those people when posible.

Yes they are great for (day time driving) as that is what they are intended for but the problem is people "myself included" often forget to turn on the actuall headlights at night. Which are both brighter and that also turns on your tail/park lights, which with out them at night is extremely dangerous. But how do you warn someone that they have no tail/park lights? Since DRL is headlights only I'd rather people just turn on thier headlights & tail lights all the time instead.

Ohh BTW if you have DRL and your charging system goes bad. If you need to drive it home or garage etc. then you can barley hit the E-Brake and it will disable them saving your batterey to run the engine. Or if you just wanted to drive on the beach with out them etc.

Has anyone ever seen people that think that just because one of their headlights is out it means that they can use the other one with the brights turned on? It has seriously burned my eyes like crazy when people have been coming in the opposite direction. And no matter how many times you flash yours, they don't do a single thing...

Idiots.
