Looks great! I wish they would put those wheels on the hardtop GT.

Hubby mentioned he was thinking of getting a convertable (since I told him it won't be a race vehicle) but we'll be getting it in the next couple months so I think he'll have to settle for a hardtop.

D-I'll give you a shout when we get ours & you can come see it (I think he already placed the order for it, windveil blue).

I don't like it. Too hard to make a fastback a convertable and still look cool.

But, I don't like the *** of the new stang either. I hope someone has a nice body kit to fix that problem. Everything else on the car I love.

You're the first person I've heard anywhere that doesn't like it. That thing is awesome. What, are you a GM employee?

It looks ok. Then again pictures probably don't do it justice. The early 90's was the best look for the mustang (that box style look and it had the 5.0) That was a cool look.

Meet another. The head-on look is awesome. 69 Fastback look with a modern edge. But from the doors back - boring new Mustang. They should have emphasized the fastback look just a little more and it would have made a huge difference in my opinion. It would make the car look more agressive and would have given it a more distinctive silhouette.

No, I'm a diehard Ford guy. Everything in my driveway has a blue oval or pre oval stage.

I love the Mustang in general. It pisses me off that Ford is always behind the times when it comes to HP/TQ for the Mustang. Always watching the Camaro and Firebird boys smoking the stangs. HATED IT. Ford has the time and $$$ invested in some cool technology cars and the only one we get to see is the Ford GT. The Mach 1 was a great car to compete with the incompetent GTO. And I know this GT is as quick as the Mach 1. But, the new GTO is now getting 400 ponies.

The overall design of the coupe car is sweet. I love it. Except for a few major things. I hate the rear end. I think it's lacking something serious. It need some side vents like the classic mustang had. It need a functional hood scoop to make the hood more agressive and about another 100 ponies under the hood. And, they need to get off their asses and put some nice rims on their cars. Why oh why does Ford rims SUCK so much? Thank God for Discount Tire being right around the corner. I'd have to have the dealership discount the tires/rims and bring a set of my own.

Now, for the goofy look of the Convertable... The lines don't flow right. The original base car is a fastback model. The convertable top doesn't flow like the original hard top does. With the top down, it doesn't look as sexy as the hard top model. Then add the extra weight in the mechanics of the top and I'm sure to have a slower, heavier wind drag car that doesn't look as good as the original 05 GT.

That's my take on it. And that's why I don't like it. But, nice try in the dig on being a GM employee. I make waaay too much $$$ to work for them.
