Present for the wife...
Well a few days before Christmas Louise's grandfather passed away whom she was very close to. He was like a father figure to her seeing that her dad had passed away 8 years ago of cancer. She left today to Hurst for the funeral so I went out and bought her this as a gift to cheer her up a bit. Her name is Zipper. Louise comes back this Friday and Zipper will be waiting for her.
Sorry for the blury pics. Its hard to take pics of an energetic puppy.

Boston Bulldogs are awesome! We got a purebread about 5 years ago and she was a neat little dog, lots of personality. When we moved to Mississippi last year, one of our neighbors called and told us that she had just witnessed someone in a blue car pull up and take our dog. ARRRGH!!!! Found out theres a big market for purebread dogs and that theres a big auction in a small town about 20 miles from here....hopefully she went there and found a good home.....

We had a dog stolen several years ago. We were living in Texas at the time and we had a Collie-Blue Heeler mix. He was just a puppy when he disappeared out of our yard one day. We searched everywhere thinking maybe he slipped out but finally came to the conclusion that he was stolen. Blue Heelers were VERY popular in Texas at the time. I was heartbroken

Well after Zipper starting throwing up this afternoon and then a few times every hour I took her to the vet and after all the tests they found out she has Parvo.
I took her to the place where I bought her and they are going to take her to their Vet at no cost to me. They gave me the choice of keeping her if she survives or giving me a full refund. The dog was perfect (looks, and attitude) so I am really bumed out. Many say that even if she survives Parvo she will be weak.
Others say that if they get over Parvo then they are fine but may have complications down the line. I think I will tell them to refund me all my money back and still give me the dog if she survives. Or maybe I should just walk away from this.
Parvovirus is a viral disease of dogs. It affects puppies much more frequently than it affects adult dogs. The virus likes to grow in rapidly dividing cells. The intestinal lining has the biggest concentration of rapidly dividing cells in a puppy's body. The virus attacks and kills these cells, causing diarrhea (often bloody), depression and suppression of white blood cells -- which come from another group of rapidly dividing cells. In very young puppies it can infect the heart muscle and lead to "sudden" death.
Puppies who survive parvo infection usually remain somewhat un-healthy and weak for life.

I'm sure she will appreciate it, and bonus points for you on the cute puppy
