a cuss word on tv.

I was watching Jay Lenno on NBC after the ball dropped, they had Motley Crew on singing. At the end of the song he shouted "Happy f#cking New Year." No big deal to me but I bet it will be in the news tomorrow.

They better give him a fine and dock him 25 points.
He didn't have a wardrobe malfunction too, did he?

hmmm, I watched that same thing and missed that.

I think I was to busy thinking "These guys look great! Years of rampant drinking and drug use have had NO effect on them... "

Would personally love to see NBC get fined. Time to clean up the airwaves. After all, the people, not the corporations own them.

The only reason I want them fined is that they have everyone else.

However I think this is totally a waste of time and energy.

I do not want to start a debate, but I am sick of people telling me what is right and wrong in terms of moral standards.

No one has ever died or become mentally damaged due to hearing a so-called cuss word or for seeing a women's naked breast!! Oh wait as long as the naked breast is used in an educational manner it is o.k. ****** hypocrites!!

Sorry, this stuff just gets to me.

People should not be allowed to think for themselves . . . . right!

Maybe no one complained as the religious control freaks were in bed already, resting for mind bending church the next day.

The FCC opened its own can of chaos on itself in my opinion. I bet that agency is so swamped with frivolous allegations and such.

While I don't condone what Janet and whatever that other teeny bopper's name was did; I do believe it was blown WAY out of proportion.

Your tax dollars at work...

My my, where's the tolerance? LMAO. People have every right to complain when the FCC has had decency standards for years. You must believe that Janet really had a "wardrobe malfunction."

firstly, I can't see how they issued a fine over the Janet thing. Yes you saw a breast, but not the nipple. Look at some of the bikini clad women on TV with the smallest of triangles on the bikini top covering the nipple and the pelvic area and they don't get fined.

The cheerleaders gyrate in a very sexually suggestive way and yet they zero in on Janet. What about the song content itself?

I think that entire Janet thing was hypocritical. If Michael Powell wanted to make a point, he should have watched the entire braodcast aqnd issued fines across the board... not just for the half-second controversy during the half-time.

Come on, this is the US Gov't we're talking about - they were all out on Holiday!

You don't actually think the FCC will be fair and consistent do you?
