USS Enterprise -vs- Star Destroyer

OK, since SW happened long-long AGO; I'll go with the Starfleet ships.

NCC-1701-D, or NCC-1701-E; would, in my opinion, make short work of a Star Destroyer.....

An Emperial Class Star Destroyer would make short work of the Enterprise - Super Star Destroyers, like the Executor (Darth Vaders' flagship) would barely have to warm its turbolasers to do in the Enterprise. It would probably only launch a few Tie-Fighters to take care of the Enterprise.

Damn I'm gonna sound like a geek, but any Trek ship will wipe up the floor with even an ISD just due to the technology differences.

ISD had turbolaser batteries.

Any Enterprise (except that crappy NX thing) has Phasers.

This is the best read I've come across on the subject but there are other good ones out there that take a idfferent view.

The Super Star Destroyer is just a bigger target.

The Star Destroyer's have "lasers". I hear Worf scoff at one ship that appraoched the Enterprise. Picard asked about their weaponry. Worf said- the ship is equipped with lasers and Type III deflectors. They are no match for our shields....

The Star Destoyers also have no sheilds, only deflectors.

I'd say the ISD would be taken out by 1 photon torpedo. If not one photon torpedo, then certainly one quantum torpedo would do the trick. It's just a big target (Although not much bigger than a Galaxy-Class, or Soverign Class Federation vessel; both of which are over 700 Meters in length.)

Now- what IS big is the Romulad Warbird. (Over 1,200 meters long), although on TV, they don't seem much bigger than NCC-1701D.

Pound for pound- I think the USS Defiant would dust-off a star destroyer.
