If i had the cash id get both. Sometimes you wanna be sporty, others just cruise around. Both are defn bikes tho, i dunno what would keep a crotchrocket from being a "real bike". Be a bit like having a sports car and a truck.

Seems like we are getting a bit off topic. Like I said before, IF you has the $$ and you LIKED choppers. I know there are other types of bikes out there, makes and models too. But I was just curious which particular bike style you guys liked between the two builders.

I also watched all the Biker Build Offs. I think Matt Hotch (sorry about spelling) definitely deserved to win the grand prize. That pneumatic lowering and rising of his bike is truly trend setting. I just wish we could see the big two names of Jessie and the Tuttle’s participate in those build offs too.

I like all bikes, Harleys (V-Rods my favorite) imports and sports bikes. I only wish I could afford to buy one!

Oh by the way, on the latest episode of American Chopper where Sr. made a bike for a legendary biker artist, he said that Indian Larry passed away this year. I didn’t hear about that. Do any of you guys know what happened to him?

Yeah, I see what your saying. Maybe using the term "real bike" was a little out there, huh?

I'd rather hang out with the Tuttles, but I'd rather have Jesse make my bike.

Jesse James couldn't be more a a jerkoff a$$hole if he tried but he has crazy skills, If I had the $$$ and inclination I would go with WCC.

Even through all the craftsmanship, I still don't see EXACTLY HOW they price those things at like 60-80K.... All it is, is metals shaped in a particular design. It's not as if the engine is made completely of titanium or something, and is guaranteed to last for like 550K miles.... IMO, you pay for the 'one of a kind' factor, completely shaped by the open market as there are enough rich folk out there that WOULD pitch out more than the previous rich guy did...

I'm about to buy my first bike- and you bet- it will be a crotch rocket....

I like the Harley's, etc- they have their place- but, I'll take a Kawasaki Ninja (style bike) it may even be a Suzuki ir a Yamaha- dependign on who has the best sales price when my bonus comes through.

That said- I'd take a Crosth-Rocket over a Fatboy anyday of the week- on sounds alone.

Bummer to hear about Indian Larry. He seemed to be genuine. I think a lot of those reality show guys hype themselves up for the TV. But Larry seemed down to earth. Sucks for the biker world.

No- not yet....

I'm a big man- so I'm gonna start with the 750- otherwise I get a 600 (training wheels); but I may look funny on that.

Normally I don't respond to these but.....I actually met Jesse back when Motorcycle Mania 1 came out. I briefly spoke with him about MY bike ( '99 R1) He liked some of the custom parts I had and he talked about the one he was playing with in his shop. He was a genuine guy and told it how it is. I didn't kiss his a** and he didn't bull sh*t me. I would pick WCC over OCC just on the simple fact that it is a custom chopper. The Tuttles seem like, with the exception of Mikey and Vinny, they have let fame go to their head. If you think about it too, Jesse is what started off the biker building phenomenon on the Discovery Channel. I'm not sure the Tuttles would be on TV let alone have the fame they do now if it weren't for Jesse paving the way. There is one other builder I'd consider: Billy Lane of Choppers Inc. He builds some nice bikes as well. Just my .02

Because there are people who are willing to pay that much. If they can get 80k for a bike, then they will sell them for 80k. They just sell them for as much as people will pay for them.
