Damn, I'm leaving for Trinidad tonight on business and probably won't get online.
Can we play again next week when I get back?

Hey, have a blast on your "vacation" though!

I've travelled quite a bit (not in the past 3 years since we started having kids) and certainly have noticed youngsters I suspected as being American wearing Maple Leaf pins/apparel. Maybe they are 'embarrassed'. Maybe they think they are safer. Maybe they avoid a few arguements in the youth hostel. Maybe they are immature stupid kids.
Whatever.
I am proudly American and have been welcomed and treated with grace and affection by people world-wide. In some cases, I have been treated very well precisely BECAUSE I am from the USA. Even in places like France, Turkey and Egypt. There there are many worldwide who:
1) Would love to live in the USA and relish learning about our great country.
2) Are grateful for our business and tourism
3) Appreciate our past help
If you hide the fact you are from the USA, you will never know the pleasure of having discussions with these people.
Of course, I would not make a target of myself in a hostile environment. Butd espite what the media would like you to beleive, but there are MANY people around the world who still admire and respect the USA.
