Name a Musician

Name a musician that would be indispensable if he / she left their band.

When David Lee Roth Left Van Halen, many people said nobody could replace him, but Sammy did a good job.

Can you think of anyone who could not be replaced?

My submission would be Geddy Lee from Rush.
I can't think of anyone who could replace him.

Any other irreplaceable musicians?

Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones. Come to think of it, the Stones wouldn't be the Stones without Keith Richards either.

Roger Waters.

Replaced by David Gilmore.

Still a great group, but I think Rojer has more writing ability than David. Both sing very well.

Not sure I convinced myself which I like the best....

That is Pink Floyd for the young one's amongst us.

Also, there would be no Aerosmith without Steven Tyler!

how about....

Axle Rose......Guns 'n Roses
And as for Southern Rock....
Duane (can't think of the last name now) was the original lead singer of Molly Hatchet but had to leave early due to medical problems. He was the best.

GnR can't exist w/o Axle but Velvet Revolver sounds pretty good with Scott Weiland.

Bono isn't even the best musician in U2 (The Edge rules) but they need him for the image b/c he's a publicity hog.

Apparently it's not me since my band went out and played 3 gigs w/o me while I was laid up with back surgery this last year.

U2 doesn't actually have any real musicians, just a great PR team.

Eddie is probably one of the more indispensable players in VH.

Did you hear about Davie Roth when Sammy got fired?

He ran over to the rehearsal hall so fast he forgot to take off his Burger King uniform.
