Thinking of Trading Expy EB

I am thinking about trading in my Expedition EB on a Suburban, Yukon XL, Denali XL or an Excursion.

Normally, I'd stick with Ford since I get X-plan pricing, but I have 20" wheels on my Expedition and my 6-bolts would mount up to the Excursion (And probably couldn't handle the extra weight anyway.) The Suburban siblings have 6-bolts as well- and weigh about the same as the Expedition does.

Were you in the market, which of these vehicles would you purchase?

Will the Ford 6-bolt pattern match the Chevy 6-bolt pattern?

I said I'd never own another GM- but I do believe they make better trucks than they do cars. This Thanksgiving trip showed me that some times an Expedition just isn't big enough. I need to seat 6 or 7 (On occasion) for holiday trips to Waterproof, Louisiana and New Orleans, LA and still carry all our luggage, and all the new stuff from the inevitable shopping sprees that the women will undertake at Pecanland Mall, and the shopping centers in Gonzales, LA.

I might be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure the 6 bolt wheels from an Expedition (based on a 1/2 ton platform) are not the same as those on an Excursion - which is based on the Super Duty platform. In fact, aren't the Expedition wheels 5 bolt?

Just out of curiosity, what did the odo say?

I think he's got a 03 or newer. They use the 6x135 bolt pattern. The 02 and previous used the 5x135. Excursions should be 8-luggers!

It cracked 6-digits and no 'mo warrenty. Buh-bye!

I'm far to wreckless and abuse my vehicles not to have a bumper-to-bumper warrenty.

I don't think the chevy's and fors have the same 6 lug bolt pattern. I believe chevy has a 6/110 bolt pattern and the ford has a 6/135mm bolt pattern, I think... (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of.

I knew the Excursions were either 8 or 10 lugs; but hoped the wheels would line up so if I upgraded to a GM Sumo-ute, I wouldn't have to buy, yet-another set of wheels.

I'm sure I could sell them though- if it came down to it...

fwiw, I know they have 'conversion' kits for certain Mustang wheels, might they have a kit for this?
