So I have decided to get one of those game playing things (PS2, XBOX, etc.)

I think its cool to play as the covenant guy, but it does seem tougher. Prolly right, its just me! The S-beams are cool, but don't last that long... Maybe I should ease up on my right trigger, huh?

Nope, the only good flood is a flood that has exploded into multiple pieces so that it cannot get back up and kill you from behind.

Damn I love what the plasma sword does to them

And the light sabre doesn't loose any power when used on the flood!

I was already to ask Santa for a PS2 for Christmas until I came across this post. X Box huh?? What should I ask Santa for as far as games?? I like the shoot em up kill or be killed action role playing stuff.

Just curious, how old are you "kids"????????

X-box. Sounds like you'd enjoy Halo I & II, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, etc...

I'm old enough to know I'm not young anymore...

Along w/ the games dzervit mentioned, I've also heard good things about Star Wars Battlefront - I haven't played it yet, but it's on my 'Christmas list'

Let's put it this way - I've had enough time to get a degree in Geology, a wife, 2 kids, and I went to my 10 yr high school reunion a couple of years ago - before long I'll be playing Xbox w/ my kids!

LOL - I've got my 21 month old daughter saying "Master Chief"

I was in Best Buy the other day with my GF, and decided to stop by the Xbox games, when this lady asked me if I had seen a certain game she was looking for, for her kid. She found it, and several others. All were war games. I didn't really think she needed to be buying wars games for her kid, but that's her business not mine, I guess...

So, later I was looking at wireless controllers (I think my GF is getting me one for Christmas), when the lady just kinda smirked at me, and said, "You guys just never grow up. Do you?" I felt like punching the *****, but wasn't quite sure how to take it, so I just took it as a complitment, and ignored her...

A little touchy, aren't you closer? I grew up with 'violent' video games and I turned out just fine...

We never do grow up. I would have responded "Growing up sucks, just look at you".

Edit: I used to have a wireless controller, until I found out it SUCKED playing Ghost Recon. For whatever reason the controller just doesn't work with certain games... thinking about trying another one, hoping they've gotten better in the last couple years...

Hey there Skippy.

I have a PS2, an XBOX, and a Game Cube.

What does that make me?

i remember my first wireless controller for the nintendo game system, only worked about 2 feet away from the console wireless adapter box which pretty much defeated the purpose but it was some cutting edge stuff at the time. Now all we need is a powerglove for the xbox and we will be in business.

Holy shnikes Jamz shows up to talk smack for a little bit. Well La-dee-fricken-da!

All the systems.. you have to much money and time. Send me some cash, and work some OT to send me some more.

Gran Turismo is nice, but not nice enough to buy a console over. The NFS series spanks GT on graphics, and I like the feel of NFS better.

WTF did you get a homo-cube for? Talk about a worthless console...

Glad to see you around again!
