I saw the story on CNN at 5am....

First thing I thought of was how I hate the media for trying to put a spin on their reporting.

They irritate the heck out of me by the way they try to stir the pot...

"Iraqi shot in head at point blank range by US marine..... "Attention"

Second thing I thought was how I would've handled it the same way except maybe it would've been 2 to the head "just in case"

The marine should get a frikkin medal for his decisive action and having the courage to do the right thing and possibly save lives of the people with him.

Sounds like the real enemy is the media. how many more Americans are they going to cost us?

CBS and now NBC are channels I try not to watch. I like fox new better anyhow.

 

I dont need to walk a mile in his shoes...I dont need to wait for the "full" story and all the facts... I dont even need to see the stupid tape or hear the report from that A-HOLE reporter. The Marine did his job. This is not a friendly game of paintball, and if you take a chance and get shot, you cant just say "oh *****" and wipe the paint off. This is the real deal. Them bastards have been killing our soldiers for too long and have killed to many of them as well. Get the god damn media out of there and let the military do its job. ARRRRGH...now im pissed and I wont be able to sleep

 

What amazes me (actually, I guess it shouldn't) is that from what I've seen on the news, they're screaming "War Crime !", and "Murder of Innocent !" and they're screaming for blood and this Marine's head on a platter . . . while at the same time, it appears the poor woman who was the director of C.A.R.E. was murdered today by those sand*****ters, and the general attitude for this seems to be "Oh dear, how unfortunate" and I don't hear them screaming "Murder of an innocent !", or "War crime !", or hear them screaming for "justice" over her murder.

Personally, if I was in a war zone, getting shot at like our boys are, and it was in the middle of an exchange . . . if it's wearing a bed-robe, or a towel on its head, it dies!

Shoot first, ask questions later.

I agree with you. I am about tired of listening to these complete morons on TV whine about some scumbag piece of chit terrorist having his dream realized.

What is the war crime? What is the murder of innocent when it comes to INNOCENT men, women and children being slaughtered by terrorist? Where is the outcry about people’s heads being cut off? Where is the outcry about the innocent people terrorist are killing in Iraq?

I am sick of the left wing nutcases running around whining on TV about the WRONG GOT DAMN THING.

NOBODY that matters gives a rats *** about some stupid worthless terrorist that does NOT deserve to live EVERY, it don’t matter if they are alive or seriously injured they do NOT under NO circumstance deserve or have the right to live PERIOD!!!!

This is NOT a crime against humanity, this is NOT a crime in ANY regards whatsoever. The ONLY crime is that we have not KILLED more of these terrorist or any of the ones currently in custody that we KNOW are terrorist because they were shooting at our military people.

If they had a gun and were shooting at our military they ARE terrorist and SHOULD be shot dead in the battle or once they are caught and cuffed, put them on the side of the road and mow them down in gun fire and leave a big *** sign that states:

”If you are a terrorist and we catch you this is what will happen to you, BRING IT OWN WUSS!!!!”

 

I think that if I were the NBC reporter that ratted this marine out I would ask to be reassigned to a non-war zone because, pay-backs are hell, the Marine Corps takes care of it's own and he just screw one of us.

 

Yep, time to get the touchy feely reporters out of there so are troops can take care of business the way it SHOULD be…

 

If the military is having a problem with the terrorists feigning death to blow the up, I think we should import pigs and more dogs. Turn them loose in an area to be searched and see who is running when the dogs/pigs go in. If they run they prolly have a bomb on them and don't want to goto balzes. If they don't then they prolly are really sick/injured/dead.

 

So what would've happened if this Iraqi "civilian" had been allowed to live and heal up? Would he have thanked Allah that the infidel Americans spared his life, or would he have ambushed some unlucky future patrol? What if he had attacked the bleeding heart reporter and done him some damage? What then? Then you would've heard the media crying "Where's the marines to come and save me? This is just pathetic, nothing would've been said had the marines finished these guys off the first day instead of just wounding them.

 

The headline on that video should have been “marine doing his job” It’s got to really suck for those young men and women knowing that they are not supported by 100% of the people they are risking their lives for.

 

The Iraqis have changed the "rules" so to speak. It used to be that churches/mosques, hospitals and schools were off limits. Now we find that the scumbags have taken over these places to try to avoid being targets. Screw the conventional war *****. Kill or be killed. These a-holes have been killing people by pretending to be dead or surrendering and then blowing themselves up. We need to shoot first and ask questions later. The media is full of gutless pussies.

 

I can't imagine how much it must suck to have embedded reporters. We know what happens when a Marine does his job, imagine if he didn't shoot that guy, and the wounded scumbag pulls out a grenade and blows up a couple of people. Dirtbag reporter sensationilzes the story, feeds it through a biased media outlet and all of a sudden our troops are imcompetent, can't protect themselves or anyone else... I say next time make the embedded reporters check to see who is faking and who isn't.

 

Bottom line, they knew we were coming; if they stayed- then they are combatants. Stuff happens. I know if I brought my squad into that building, and knowing that these guys play dead, then attack (They did that crap in Dgesert Storm too; except with tanks- they'd apprach with the barrells facing the rear with white towels around them, signalling surrender; then once in range, they'd swing the turret and open fire.) with all that in mind; he would have received a 5.56mm burst from my SAW; just to be safe...

I'm surprised the reporter made it home. What he did was wrong on so many levels... This is war, those boys aren't "Playing Army" over there.
