Cool

arrbilly -

Let's clear up one point: As far as Bush taking us into an "unjustified" war, that isn't exactly something new:

FDR led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us, Japan did. From 1941-1945 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.

Truman finished that war and started one in Korea. North Korea never attacked us. From 1950-1953 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 8,333 per year.

John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us. Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or the French's consent. Bosnia never attacked us.

Clinton was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

In the three years since terrorists attacked us, President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaeda, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 600,000 of his own people. We've lost 1000 soldiers, an average of 333 a year.

Bush did all this abroad while not allowing another terrorist attack at home.

You really think Ferret Face has the cohunas to maintain face in the Middle East ? Asking for the world to agree upon a solution that affects OUR national security is ridiculous...

Its funny how many people seem to forget that the UN WAS behind our initiatives with Iraq, save for France, Germany and Russia. Later on we find out that all 3 had "behind the scenes" agendas that would be damaged by our taking of Iraq. Gee, I wonder why they didn't want us to go in ? If they had not had these hidden agendas and had said "Yes", what would all of you whiners be saying now ?

The day the UN starts funding all of the efforts in the world (instead of the USA funding the majority of them) is the day I'll agree that we should follow their lead. But, as I see it, the USA foots the majority of the bill for MOST "police actions" mandated by the UN anyway. Do you think we were ever compensated for our involvement in Kuwait ?

Get the USA out of the UN and get the UN out of the USA !!!

I agree that we need to get a handle on our world police mentality. I also believe that we need to strengthen our relationships with like-minded countries. But, we also need to call out on the carpet those countries who talk out of both sides of their mouths and put them in their place.

I feel we should pull ALL of our troops home, close our borders to further immigration, SELL our food and technology, call in all debts owed by 70% of the European nations and Japan and look out for just ourselves for the next 5 years or so. No Red Cross, no Peace Corp, no "Police Actions", nothing. We stay out of their business, they stay out of ours. We protect our borders and turn a blind eye to everyone elses squabbles.

If (after this policy has been in effect for 1 year or so) we are the recipient of another terrorist attack, we launch a military strike and DESTROY the whole lot of them - men, women and children !! Treat them like they will treat us, given the chance. Make it perfectly clear that ANY attack on our soil will result in complete destruction of the attacker's country.

They have already shown they do not understand reason or diplomacy. Its time for us to fight them at their own level...

Flame Suit On !!!

4 more years !!!!!!

When you get a bunch of fat white politicians discussing whats best for women thats a bit of a conflict if you ask me. None of them will have to go through any of what a woman goes through in either keeping the child, giving it up for adoption, or aborting it. Ah well, lets see some scripture now on how its against god, i havent seen any of that in a few days. We need a smiley in flame suit to go along with the puking smiley.

Why does it have to be against God for someone to argue that killing babies is wrong? I am not religiously affiliated; but, I do not agree that women have the sole power to decide for or against life.

Let's take killing out of the equation for a minute, and look at it another way. Who is half responsible for the child when it is born? The father, right? Why does he not have some say, one way or another, about whether the child is brought into the world? It seems that if the woman has the right to decide for or against having the child, the man should have the right to make her not have the child, or take full responsibility for it, if he doesn't want the responsibility. I don't agree with that either; but, fair is fair. If a woman doesn't want to accept the responsibility of motherhood, then maybe she should look into being more responsible for the position of her legs, when she isn't properly protected. You know, keep them out of the air. Feet on the ground and knees together. What if Einstein's Mom had had an abortion? Henry Ford's? George Washington's? Peewee Herman's? Well, skip the last one. Be glad your Mom was pro-life.

Rape is another issue entirely. It would still be killing a child that could have been put up for adoption. It wasn't the kid's fault. If there is a choice between the life of the child or the mother, then the mother should have the power of choice.
