Question

How about the K&N Performance Gold oil filter? I didn't see it listed.

OK, I read through the info.

Which mfgs from the list, make filters to fit our truck? List the best one to use on down?

Does AC/Delco make filters to fit our trucks?

I have often wondered the same thing about filters - more $$ does not necessarily mean better. With that in mind I have been searching for studies and most that I have found are out dated. I have found the following information on another forum
BobIsTheOilGuy In this study, Bob tests filters based on in and out pressure - the therory is lower the flow, the better the filtration.
Now I admit I have not read the entire 9 pages of threads on this topic - for the most part I skimmed through (reading the first few lines/words and skipping thread that babbled on). I usually do not place much faith in the manufacturers studies, eventhough they may be from an independant lab because most are getting something for doing the study - Bob on the other hand does all of his work independant of financial support of the manufacturers - so I feel they are more trust worthy - at least IMHO.

Anyhow - I find Bob's web site to be very informative and I use it just as another decision making tool.

Take it for what it's worth yo you.
