It really is. People rarely attempt to justify their beliefs or choices. And when they do, it is with the lies and false retoric that is so often spewed.

Just ask 10 people who are voting for Kerry and ask them why they will, for the most part, tell you because he is better then Bush. When you ask why is that many of them will tell you:

"cause..."

Sad...
What is sad is that you both ignore any responses that are contrary to this fantasied exchange.

bull*****, you are again describing your tribes methodologies.

Just as many ignorant Kerry supporters out there as there are "shrubbies", trust me I run into them all the time. Repeating the "anyone but bush" mantra over and over again while pulling the lever that the hollywood crowd and george soros tell you to is just as brainwashed as any "shrubbie" out there. I don't begrudge anyone there choice, but is it too mucht to ask that people make an educated choice about who they vote for? Apparently it is b/c both sides are leading their faithful like the Pied Piper right to the voting both. The fact that we can have the arguments that we do on this forum is already proof that we have put more thought into our voting decision than most of this nation.

Say what you will Bullitt-

The truth is, I chose not to debate with you not due to your "superior intellect", but because you do not have a foundation by which we can argue our choices. You simply haven't lived long enough to have covered the miles I have covered in basing where we are today in life, in our choice for a presidential candidate. It's not a slap on you; it simply is what it is.

When you've paid for medical insurance for yourself and a family, when you been laid off, when you’ve had to lay people off, when your stock portfolio has risen and fallen, when you’ve watched thousands lose jobs to people in India and Brazil, when you seen friends go to war based upon rhetoric and not come back, when you've lived a little and can base your decision based upon how you've lived as well as on empirical (If we can call it that) evidence, we will then have a foundation upon which to debate.

I didn't debate in High School (it wasn’t offered) but I did debate for one year (two semesters) in college. My debate team debated at the University of Cambridge in England. We didn't win, but we came in 3rd place overall against some rather stiff competition, including Ivy League Schools and Major Universities; which was a win for us!

I didn't make the trip myself because I didn't have enough vacation time to go. I was, and still am a full-time employee as well as a full-time student.

In closing, don't think that I'm simply not debating with you based upon age alone; it's not just that. It is because at 19- you simply do not have a life basis on which to argue. You're simply arguing about facts & figures that can be twisted to make a candidate look as good, or as bad as one wishes. Life experience plays a big roll in voting, and I don't think this country can take four more years from Mr. Bush, not from where I sit.

At this rate, all tech jobs will be out-sourced overseas, all production and manufacturing jobs (Except those that Japan sends here) will be offshore, Medical Insurance will be $300 per pay period, and gas will be $3.99/gallon by 2008.

It already costs me $46.00/week to fill up the Expedition (From ¼ tank) and my job is only seven miles from my house. I don’t want to pay $92.00 to do the same.

And you want to vote for the guy that wants at least another .50 a gallon tax on gas?

Good luck getting him to lower your gas prices.
