49,000 miles

*Key pad and wiper arm replaced at 2,000 miles or so.

*Driver's seat bottom replaced at 30,000 or so (bad leather panel, started to crack)

*Was running rough at about 40,000 miles...replaced the fuel filter, and replaced it again 1,000 miles later...that fixed it (must have gotten some bad gas)

This has been without a doubt one of the best vehicles I've ever owned. If a tree fell on it tomorrow, I'd buy another one...the F150, that is.

Green, It is muffler, 1 in 2 out. They say are suppose to be close to a flowmaster.

Price was good, and I have had many compliments on the sound.

Nice burble when cruising town. Pretty quiet at highway speeds and sounds great when mashin the go peddle..

Sled...

99 - F150, 5.4 auto 99K... I have owned it since 40K and the only problem I had was one fried injector coil. And I think I may have been responsible for that since it happened right after I spray washed the engine at a car wash.

I drove Toyotas for years before this truck and got pretty used to things lasting a long time. So far this truck has been great. As I go past 100k I am certainly holding my breath....

Mines got 93,000 on it now.

Had to replace the DPFE sensor twice
Fluids, filters and plugs multiple times (I'm a maintenance freak)
The ignition coil pack cracked and stopped firing cylinder #3
Front brake pads

Thats it! Its been very reliable and a pleasure to drive. I was diehard Chevy before, but now I'm a Ford fan.

IMO you should remember that viewing any board dedicated to specific cars and trucks will show a very high concentration of problems that may tend to lead to conclusion that all most all have or will have all the faults you read about.
This is to be avoided or you will want to just drive a horse and buggy and worry about the wheel falling off and bad horse milage.
The boards do however tend to show up reoccurring problems accross the line of trucks and the years, that may or may not ever be your problem with the exception of normal wear and maintainence.

1997 4.6L Auto w/ 92,000 miles - Runs like new.

Had to WD-40 the passenger door latch cause it was sticking and replace the courtesy light bulb in the driver door. Bulb behind the tach is burned out. That's about it.

2002 F-150 Regcab/shortbed/5-speed/V-6

60,450 miles absolutely ZERO problems, just routine maintenance.

Best vehicle I've ever owned.
