Wally World and their Motorcraft oil

Ok, I need to vent. I am going to do my 20k oil change tomorrow and once again I have problems finding Motorcraft 5W20 at WW. Everytime I need to do my oil change I head up to WW, because they are the cheapest, and it's the sos. They never have the 7 quarts I need to do the change. They always have the filter but hit or miss with the oil. Most times they only have 2 or 3 quarts and none in cases or in the back. Very rarely do they have 7 or more. I went to one WW wednesday night wanting to get enough for this oil change and the 25k. They had 5 quarts. So I got two filters thinking I would get a case at a different WW. I went to a different one today and they had exactly 7. I bought two flippin' filters

Sorry, I needed to get that out.

And no I will not switch to mobile 1

ahhh much better!

How do you tell a "Southern" Wally-World from a "Northern" one????

At the Southern Wally-World, after the guy buys his oil and filter, he does the oil change in the parking lot!

That's why Zoltan is so upset. He had already pulled the drain plug before going into the store.

Do I need to put the plug back in before filling it up?

Do what I do...

Buy your oil at Wally's, but as soon as you get your oil changed start watching for another case and get it. Then just stick it on the shelf till needed then as soon as it's gone I start watching for another, but then there's 5 Wallys in the area, and numbers 6 and 7 are in the roughing stages... Not to mention the home office ain't too far either...

remember the old addage "make friends with the cook". the fella who orders for our walmart knows my truck and even pretty much when i need oil. it's almost always there for me. usually tucked away on some obscure shelf where no one else will find it.

Another plug for wally-world........the TLE staff has been advised by the upper management that when an 04 F-150 comes in for an oil change and they request other than the 5W20 Motorcraft oil a statemnet is anotated on the work order and is on file in the computer system that the owner requested/demanded other than the 5W20 Motorcraft oil. Their reasoning behind this is a customer in one of their stores demanded an oil other than Motorcraft 5W20. Within a couple days the customer called the TLE that did the oil change and demanded that they mucked up his engine. He had a limp mode action and had the truck towed to a dealer who declared that he had put in a an unaproved oil on his last oil change and they would not honor the warranty to repair/replace the motor.

Zoltan, check with the TLE manager and they can get the Motorcraft oil in for you in less than 2 days if their stock is gone.
