Kerry will Add 40,000 new troops to our military (something we Obviously need, yet Bush hasn't mentioned adding more troops even once!) and let our hard working guys come home when they're supposed to and not have to extend their stays abroad. He'll rebuild our coalitions and help reduce the burden Iraq is to us. Iraqi's will respond and work better with a World force there instead of just a US occupation which is what we have now.
Kerry will actually work to improve our Health Care system in the US. It's gonna take time, and mistakes will be made, but ANY EFFORT put towards it will be better than what we have now. Ideally he wants us all to have the same coverage members of Congress have.
Think of all the money you and the small business owner could save on Health care. I'm paying thousands of dollars a year on health care for my family. If they increased taxes by only HALF that we'd still make out. I agree with the Republicans that if a guy or business has an extra dollar in his pocket, he'll spend it, and that's what makes an economy thrive.
I can understand if you make more than 200k a year why you WOULDN'T vote for Kerry. But I don't. He says he won't raise taxes for those that make less than 200k. I don't, so that sounds good to me.
Kerry actually has plans to put resources towards our Borders, ports, and First Responders. Gee, that makes since. Something Bush hasn't adequately done.
Kerry will finish the war in Iraq. He's committed to that.
Kerry will NOT pull troops out of S. Korea before making NK give us something in regards to them cutting back on their Nuke program. Pulling troops from SK is only showing weakness.
Kerry wants to creat 3.5 million after school opportunities trying to Keep kids from becoming criminals where we have to spend 40k a year to keep them in prison. I've seen after school programs close down here in Columbus and it's really sad. Especially when you can put a face on it.
Plus Kerry wants to try to help make college more affordable. Enrollments are down. If we want to compete in this new global economy we need to be educated. Labor jobs are going away. Education is needed more than Ever and middle class families are struggling more than ever to try to send their children to college. This is an investment to the FUTURE of the US.
Kerry is a Real war vet and knows what it's like to be shot at.
Plus Bush has Failed IMO. The numbers speak for themselves. It's time to let the new guy give it a shot. If he fails too, we'll vote in Nader if we have to.

1. Kerry will pay down the deficit: SURE he will. He'll spend just as much money as GWB will but he will just spend it in other ways. Anyone familiar with tax and spend liberals? You don't need your hard earned money; everyone that doesn’t want to work hard needs it. Personally I find European socialism distasteful but I have a feeling Kerry is looking that way and taking notes. By the way if I remember correctly, a weak dollar every now and then will help the rest of the world buy American manufactured products. Maybe that will help correct things, its all cyclical, called Keynesian economics. Presidents from both sides get too much credit for a good economy and too much blame for a bad one.
2. Kerry will add 40,000 new troops to the military: someone asked before, where will they come from? How do you get them to enlist, if you get them into the military will there be enough equipment and weapons systems for them to use after defense spending gets put behind social welfare. Maybe he has a plan to do it but I doubt it. Empty promise, mark my words. By the way, he could add 1 million to the military but I still don't think he has the ***** to use them right.
3. I'm still not sure government healthcare is a good idea. My coverage sucks but from what I see of other government agencies and coverage in other countries with nationalized health care, the grass isn’t always greener. Maybe Kerry will do well here, maybe we’ll all end up with congress level health care, or maybe he'll just end up taxing the hell out of us already with health care, b/c we had the incentive to work hard to get it, to pay for a lot of people who will have less incentive to work hard then.
4. If you believe that Kerry will put all that money towards the boarders and such, I ask you, where will he get all this money? He has to fund his military increase, his social welfare programs, his health care reforms and pay down the deficit and continue to fund our troops in the field and in war zones. I smell campaign promise that will be shortly forgotten after he gets all his medals moved into the oval office.
5. Kerry would not pull troops out of S. Korea and not show weakness to the N. Koreans. It’s not the 13,000 troops that scare the N. Koreans, it’s the ballistic missile subs off the coast packed with cruise missiles. Kerry will grovel to the a useless UN hijacked by corrupt Europeans and third world pocket dictators who want to feel important. That will show weakness. I'll bet Kerry does the same thing Bush does with N. Korea and that is multilateral talks b/c the dose not have the stomach to play hardball. Maybe I'm wrong here. By the way, its time for the ungrateful rats in S. Korea to take care of their own defense, give those students something to do bedsides protest against the American military presence.
6. Kerry will work on all these after school programs to help alleviate the prison problem. News flash, those programs won't work, as long as its "cool" to be a POS and not care about your education nothing there will change. Again, where is all the money for this with all the other things that need to get paid for while paying down the deficit? That stooge is against the death penalty and against limiting appeals for death penalty cases. That might help prison crowding and costs. Kill the dirt bags and get it over with.
7. Kerry will make college more affordable. Kerry supports affirmative Action without any reservation. Sending people to college b/c of the color of their skin isn't the best and brightest philosophy and certainly isn't helping the middle class or making our college grads any better. Again, where will the money to do this come from? I don't want more taxes to pay for college for someone who gets in even if they are not the best candidate. This is an investment in special interests, not the future.
Don't confuse what Kerry says he will do with what he will probably do, very different things. Any politician will say anything to get your vote regardless of whether or not they will do it or if it’s even possible.
Ok, I'm done, you guys are killing me today, my fingers hurt form all the typing.

Kerry will do NOTHING but raise taxes to fund those to lazy and useless to do for themselves.
Personally we need to get back to the basics where the old saying of ”Only the strong will survive” we need to start cutting and gutting these socialist programs we now have on the book. NOBODY should be entitled to any thing FREE.
Trust me, it will hurt for some time and some will get left behind, but it will serve a greater cause and set the correct example which is that those that apply themselves will move themselves forward, those that sit around waiting for a hand out will get nothing and fade away…
There is ONLY two classes of people I believe we as a nation should help, which means pay taxes for (as in a social program). One group is those who because of medical/mental reason can not do for themselves and the second group is those who are elder and make less then say $30,000 a year. If they make $30,001 or more they can buy their own prescription drugs or find their own medical insurance coverage.
This too would serve as an example for those coming up to retirement age and teach people to either save and invest your money and/or keep yourself as healthy as possible or live in the slums.
Now, if an elderly person finds themselves in a situation beyond their control medically which is costly then we fund some type of program for them but with just enough benefits to get them by, not so they can live big on the hill…
As far as welfare and women with children, well either you come clean and tell the government who the father is so we can go after him and screw him to the wall or your on your own. In any regards if your someone that falls under welfare you would live in government supplied rat holes and have special stores built just for you with the real cheap non-brand name food, you get a few cuts of meat, but only the crap that us working people would not buy in a store.
If you can not care for your children based on that then they get placed somewhere so a mature grown-up can care and raise them…
Again, a lesson of tough love for those thinking about having babies so they can stay home all day. As far as the dead-beat dads responsible for these kids they will be forced to work 4 jobs if need be to fund them. If they refuse they will be forced to do so on a chain-gang in the deserts of Nevada…
This kind of mature and logical thinking will help cut taxes in half while having the biggest surpluses ever seen. Our nation will also be much more productive and have citizens with responsibilities. That will help to greatly reduce crime rates…
It’s called “Personal Responsibility” something Kerry has no clue about…

Am I doing better? A bit at the moment. I was also doing better in 1996 and 2000, a LOT better. In 2000, when I wanted to get a new job, I had my choice of places to go, and they all paid well. Now, in 2004, when my job is going to Canada, jobs are very difficult to come by and they pay a lot less. I'll have to review this question after the first of the year (not because of the election, because that's when my job is gone).

Excellent point and I would add they are the first in line for benefits, if there is any left after them then we can think about the others…
OK guys, to me this is like arguing which is better, a light brown turd or a dark brown turd.
"Dubya" has a lot against him, maybe it's all coincidence. Saddam and his father's past, oil prices being an oil man in Texas, Haliburton, etc. etc. But Kerry is without a doubt one of the biggest double talkers I've ever heard. I say you could just about vote blindfolded and hope for the best. Every man for himself.
And I am a registered republican, it just seems our choices are very limited. Real men with the brains and ethics to be a good President are off making multi-millions running huge companies. They can't afford the pay cut and the stress of being in politics so we are left with a bunch of clowns.
"Ronald McDonald for President" nah, then either Big Mac prices would double or he would take all of my money and give it to poor people so the could have a Big Mac too, after all the deserve it just because they are alive.
OK, let's talk about religion now.
