Oh, another fact, most, not all, but most people in poverty are there because it is where they want to be by choice. Just like the vast majority of homeless are homeless by choice…

What ever happen to you liberal democrats and your ”Pro-choice” cheerleading you do?

All that you are doing is attacking Bush, obviously you dont like him, thats fine you are entitled to your opinions.

So in all of this attacking of Bush, you have not shown us one single reason, not one why Kerry is better suited to lead our country.

Instead of attacking, explain to me why Kerry would make a better president.
How come you are not telling the conservatives here that all they are doing is attacking Kerry and that you already know who they are voting for?

Why is it when you state the truth about someone it is called an attack by the left?

Nobody has really attacked Kerry, I haven’t even come close to attacking Kerry. All I have done is simply relay the truthful facts about Kerry, it’s all out there for anyone wishing to view it. Kerry has stated much of it himself in different TV interviews and news clips…

Even Kerry admitted to committing war crimes while in Vietnam...

I'll Gladly answer the question:

Kerry will pay down the deficit and get our economy truely heading in the right direction. Improving our bottom line and stop the waste of tax money we're currently paying on Interest for our current 4.8 Billion Deficit. Also strengthening our dollar in this world economy reducing trade deficits and improving our job force because we'll be more competitive.

Kerry will Add 40,000 new troops to our military (something we Obviously need, yet Bush hasn't mentioned adding more troops even once!) and let our hard working guys come home when they're supposed to and not have to extend their stays abroad. He'll rebuild our coalitions and help reduce the burden Iraq is to us. Iraqi's will respond and work better with a World force there instead of just a US occupation which is what we have now.

Kerry will actually work to improve our Health Care system in the US. It's gonna take time, and mistakes will be made, but ANY EFFORT put towards it will be better than what we have now. Ideally he wants us all to have the same coverage members of Congress have.

Think of all the money you and the small business owner could save on Health care. I'm paying thousands of dollars a year on health care for my family. If they increased taxes by only HALF that we'd still make out. I agree with the Republicans that if a guy or business has an extra dollar in his pocket, he'll spend it, and that's what makes an economy thrive.

I can understand if you make more than 200k a year why you WOULDN'T vote for Kerry. But I don't. He says he won't raise taxes for those that make less than 200k. I don't, so that sounds good to me.

Kerry actually has plans to put resources towards our Borders, ports, and First Responders. Gee, that makes since. Something Bush hasn't adequately done.

Kerry will finish the war in Iraq. He's committed to that.

Kerry will NOT pull troops out of S. Korea before making NK give us something in regards to them cutting back on their Nuke program. Pulling troops from SK is only showing weakness.

Kerry wants to creat 3.5 million after school opportunities trying to Keep kids from becoming criminals where we have to spend 40k a year to keep them in prison. I've seen after school programs close down here in Columbus and it's really sad. Especially when you can put a face on it.

Plus Kerry wants to try to help make college more affordable. Enrollments are down. If we want to compete in this new global economy we need to be educated. Labor jobs are going away. Education is needed more than Ever and middle class families are struggling more than ever to try to send their children to college. This is an investment to the FUTURE of the US.

Kerry is a Real war vet and knows what it's like to be shot at.

Plus Bush has Failed IMO. The numbers speak for themselves. It's time to let the new guy give it a shot. If he fails too, we'll vote in Nader if we have to.

Uhm, I didn't call it an attack, I was paraphrasing. You know I usually call it a bash.

Hibbs, you are being hard on GW. I mean, after Osama attacked us, he DID send troops to Afghanistan and then got Saddam out of office. He also gave us all that huge $600 tax break (well, if you have children). Then he... well, he....

BHibbs,

Instead of writing a mini-novel about how Kerry is going to help us make it a simple one liner, because truth be told Kerry’s answer or help can be summed up in four words:

TAX HIKES FOR EVERYBODY

Yep, Kerry is going to make things all better, well at least for those receiving welfare checks…

Fast Gator,

I will be right behind you at the office because when Kerry jacks up the taxes I’ll have no choice but to leave my job and collect something…

I was doing pretty well 4 years ago. Great job, good money. Until I learned of our company had been secretly planning to outsource to China.

I expressed my concerns as a middle manager of an Engineering dept. Three month's later I was out of a job because "I didn't have the right focus for the company's business plan".

This planning was done during the Clinton era to take advantage of NAFTA laws.

It was a struggle with 9/11 and resultant economic downturn. I kept pushing forward. I am now working on the forefront of our economic upswing. I am Engineering high tech test systems for companies gearing up to go into production. 90% of the systems are for American use. The systems are not cheap. They range anywhere from 300k to 2.5M.

Companies usually invest like this when they are planning for full bore production. This seems to be just the beginning.

The bottom line is that I am making more money than ever before. This is under Bush in spite of the ***** sandwich he got.

So the next time you eat Heinz pickles, look at the label. You will see who really has benefitted by outsourcing.

Out

I can tell you with just about absolute certainty that the economy is doing much better. Our orders for motors that go into wave solder ovens are up big time. Prior to 911 we had two different models that are sold to two different customers each was buying approx. 200 motors a week.

Wave solder ovens are used for circuit boards so if the number of ovens have taken a huge swing up then that means somebody out there building products with circuit boards have had some major jumps in orders or feel so confident there will be that they are willing to spend (invest because of capital gains tax cuts) approx. $300k - $500k for these ovens…

Approx. 6 months after 911 they basically went down to less then 25 a week. In the past few months they have been gearing up big time and we now have 2 years of orders at 350 motors a week for each customer.

There are another 10 – 15 examples of motors that are for products that further prove the economy is on the way up…

We are usually the first type of business, like canyonslicker business, that see what is happening to the economy before the general public since we are in the front lines of the recovery…

All I got to say about Kerry is.......
40,000 troops isn't very many when you take into consideration how many are already in the military. Where is he going to get them? Most branches are already struggling to meet their quota. Kerry plans to put all of these thing into place and fight a war and only raise taxes on the wealthy. I have one question how did the wealthy become that way? BY OWNING BUSINESSES. If you tax the owners, they aren't going to give up their golf club memberships, or their multi-million dollar houses, or their Dom Perignon, or their $10 bottles of water. They will increase the price of the goods they provide. Meaning the poor, and middle class will pay for the taxes. It works the same as the so called trickle down theory of tax cuts.

Take a look at what Kerry is promising. He's telling everyone he is going to give you everything and only the rich are going to have to pay for it. I don't buy it. A simplton can figure out you can't have everything and still be able to pay for it.

We really can't protect these guys from themselves:

ABC's "This Week," Aug. 1, 2004
John Kerry: I will have significant, enormous reduction in the level of troops.

I think we can significantly change the deployment of troops [in Iraq], not just there but elsewhere in the world. In the Korean peninsula perhaps, in Europe perhaps. There are great possibilities open to us. But this administration has very little imagination.

Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry criticized President Bush’s proposal to recall up to 70,000 foreign troops Wednesday as a hastily announced plan that would raise more doubts about U.S. intentions than it answered.

“Why are we withdrawing unilaterally 12,000 troops from the Korean Peninsula at the very time we are negotiating with North Korea — a country that really has nuclear weapons?” Kerry asked.

This is very simple for me. My family and I are doing much better in the last 4 years.

As for who I will vote for, it all comes down to trust. To put it another way, if I needed to trust either one of these men to say work on my truck, taking in consideration education, learned experience, honest, and integrity, I would go with Bush.

Kerry would not have a clue as to what to do, lie about messing it up or being involved in any way, change his story to cover himself, and then charge me more money because I bust my butt and seem to be able to afford it. But I have to admit he would sound more educated as he pionts his finger in the air and tells me " I have a plan, a plan to get me out of this"

Are you aware that many of the families in the lower ranks of the military are at or below poverty level? So in effect, if Kerry adds 40,000 new troops (i.e. fresh out of boot camp, lowest of the low) he will be adding 40,000 more people to the poverty levels of this country. I'm not saying that we don't need a beefed up military, I just think its ironic that while he is busy wiping out poverty, he plans on increasing it indirectly.

I think it's pitiful that while we all have the "freedom of speech" to argue over politics and motorcycles and such, some of the very people who defend that freedom are relying food stamps to feed their children. I'm not knocking the military but the pay, compared to jobs on the outside doing the same thing, is below the national averages.

Show me a president and/or congressman who is willing to take a pay cut so that our military budgets can allow for higher pay and that's the man I'll vote for. Until then, I'm sticking with GW.

It's sad though, Clinton left Bush with a Record LOW poverty rate in 2000 and a 3.8 unemployment rate to our now 5.5.

another apples to oranges comparison........
Clinton also left Bush with Osama Bin Laden, and a different United States...from "4 years ago" Clinton had many documeted opportunities to kill that POS but each time canceled missle strikes because he didnt want to step on any toes..
