Did YOU vote for him???
i hope this doesnt turn into a 'look the poor guy had to leave because he's gay' thing.
from what the news is, and has been reporting, this guys (mcgreevy) a dirt bag.
there are other investigations going on into his actions also.
the person who just filed the sexual discrimination suit the same day mcgreevey resigned, is the person that mcgreevey hired as new jersey's security advisor.
a position made after the 9/11 hit. mcgreevy found him while in israel because he was recommended by sharone. the position paid a 6 figure salary.
from whats being reported on 770 a.m. he had no qualifications for the position, and the fbi would not clear him for the job either. yet it was still offered to him
he gave the position responsible for guarding new jersey to an israeli. that israeli is now suing him for sexual harassment.
who knows what the truth really is, but theres way more to this than just 'i'm quitting cause i'm gay' crap.
from whats also being said, by not resigning till nov 15, this will block the next gov race where there were very good odds that the dems would not have maintained the governorship.
this is going to be interesting, i hope the media sticks with the story. again, i would like to see whats really happening here, and would not like to see this get twisted into something it isnt.

Maybe the new administration will give people the right to pump their own gas and not leave it to the "professionals." Sorry but spent awhile in NJ at Maguire prior to a deployment and some of the laws seem a little far off.

I wonder how serious they take chewing gum while walking? I bet you are required to apply for a license for that one too.

Honestly, no one will believe it when you blame your private picture collection on Rob.
As for self serv gas in New Jersey, what's up with that? Is it a law that full service is required?
I was back in NJ last summer (first time is over 20 years) and was amazed at:
A) how low the prices were,
B) not only were the prices low, but someone actually came out and pumped the gas for you!
The first time I stopped for gas I got out of my car and started doing it myself, and this guy comes out, and with an attitude, asks me what the heck I think I'm doing?
I told him what I WAS doing and he sez "You can't do that" and we got into a discussion about how everything in CA is self serve (there are a few gas stations that offer FULL service and how if there is full service you'd pay 3.00 per gallon for it . . . (and that was the price LAST YEAR... today it's about 3.65 for full service at a local station . . .but there are only a limited number of stations that have full service that I know of)
Anyway, he told me that in NJ the attendants pump gas, but he never said it was a LAW. Is it a LAW?
(I'll be back in NJ in a few weeks, and this time I'll know not to get out of my rental car!)

its the law.
new jersey and oregon are the only 2 states where you can't self serve gas, and i dont mind living in one of them at all.
when i used to have my motorcycle the gas station attendants would turn on the pump then hand over the nozzle so i could fill the bike. when finished i would hand it back and they would do the rest.
i paid 1.69 for regular at a costco in new jersey this past friday.

This is no joke...they actually act like your suppose to tip a clown for handing you paper towels. That place just kills me....ROTFLMAO.
Rocks
dont know, i dont do 'away games'
only do 'home games'.
from what i hear though, the attendant goes in with you, opens the door, and unhooks any neccessary zipppers or buttons and what not.
you do your business, they tap or wipe, buckle you back up, and your on your way.
its one of the hidden ammenities of living in new jersey.
dont tell anyone i told you.
p.s.
if your ever in a gas station in new jersey & feel natures call, just go the the mens room, and wait. when someone else finally shows up just say 'hey, what do you have to do for some service around here'.
odds are they will be a trained professional and will know just what to do.
remember, ITS THE LAW.
