My boyfriend and I have a 90 gallon salt water tank and a 25 gallon salt water as well. We find that the bigger tank is easier to look after. Not as many water changes because there is more water to cycle. Once its initially established its not that much money. Of course we will be setting up a 45 gallon sump underneath which will probly cost another $300CAN. In our 90GAL we have all aggressive fish which are typically easier to look after and much more fun to watch eat. We have a panther grouper, a snowflake eel, pink tail trigger and a niger trigger and a yellow tail blue damsel. in the 25 we have a percula (Nemo) and a yellow tail damsel. A bunch of Live rock in both tanks too....I can post pics later if anyone wants to see them.

Ok they are all very cool...

We have a 20 gal. fresh water tank...With the other fish the wife put a gold fish in to set the PH first , as we had lost all our fish a few months ago...Never did figure out why...Now this gold fish has not only lived but got bigger...

The fish cut your stress levels and some days they are better to watch than the TV...I also found A person with fish will treat you better as well...Oh and we still have our dog Spirit...

Funny as the wife feeds the fish...(only one person should always do that so they don't get over fed)...well anytime she walks by the tank all the fish see her and follow her from one end to the other...

Alright.

So you saw the pictures on page 1 right?

Any thoughts or ideas what you would do with it? I have a few, but input will help me get a bigger visual of what my plans are.

In both corners, I want to have some live plants. The "wood" in the middle has my air bubbles coming out of it. I dont wanna clutter it like I did my 10 GAL, so I dont wanna add anymore "stuff".

I havent decided on the fish. A pleco for sure. I wanna mix it up. bottom feeders, and top water fedders, and the in between fish (know what I mean).

Any ideas?

IVegot a 44 Gal freshwater tank.

Unfortunately I had an accident this past weekend and killed two of my favorite fish (two Discus) =( Was a stupid accident on my part so its pi$$ed me off pretty good, but what can you do. You live and you learn =\

The ones that survived are in my 18 Gal tank until I get the 44 cleared. Fortunately for me the 18 wa sitting empty, but with cycled water when I screwed up.

This is the tank the day after the accident:

This is the tank as of 5 mins ago, Still cloudy, but getting better:

And these are the 3 survivors from the disaster:

Here's a picture of my 10 Gallon tank before I started my live plants.

This was the first stage. This lil tank has gone through a bunch of changes. A 10 Gallon tank is alot of work. Real easy for fish to get sick, stress, and keeping the PH right is a major task.

I have a homeade CO2 system for my plants, a mixture of sugar, water, and yeast in a bottle with a line running to one of the powerheads to disperse it. Anyway I keep the bottle under the stand, and my dog got back there and knocked it over without me knowing, so the mixture got sucked up and into the tank by the powerhead overnight. When I woke up to go to work, every fish was swimming upside down
