Actually, you could pull this off... However, THE MAN has set up the system such that you don't have the time to physically purchase a million tickets...
Divide and conquer. One person couldn't do it, but if you pay folks to buy the tickets (you'll obviously have to trust them so you'll GET the tickets after they purchase) and spread out fun. You can setup a PC program to PRINT the combos on the cards, divide the cards amongst the group and go for it! You have three fulls days to pull it off. Three vacation days might be worth it. Of course, the biggest obstacle is getting the money to actually BUY the tickets....

dezervit - a majority of folks who win usually end up broke after 5 years . . . seeing how you'd spend it if you won, it appears you'd join that crowd.
Hardly!!! Lemme break it down for you...

House = 1.5 million
House furnishing = another million
Cars = 500,000 (745i loaded + GT40 = 300,000. The rest goes into the tools, lift, and workshop extras)
Pimp out my F-150 = 50,000 (doubt I'd even spend 1/2 that)
SeaRay Sundancer = 1 million out the door
Cheap booze & hookers = 100,000
Misc spending frenzy = 1 million

Total = 'bout 6,000,000.

90,000,000 - 6,000,000 = 84,000,000 left over. I think I could live off of the 500,000 or so in interest (being conservative) that it would generate. That would more than cover property taxes, insurance & fun time.

Even if I blew an extra 5 mil I'd be ok. The biggest problem is finding a good finanical manager that won't bend me over...

Point is, you CAN get a lot & not go broke. You just can't go nuts and blow it all or trust anyone to 'handle your finances'.

With my luck, I'd not spend a penny, invest every dime, and 20 years from now go to the bank to get my money, then walk out and get hit by a Mack truck.

Dammit, if I win, I am spending it.

Oh, and Dz...

You win that much money and buy a 1.5 mil house?

Yup. That's all I will need to to have my game/bar room, home theatre, win cellar/cigar bar, and office/library. Now, that 5,000sqft isn't including the 'non-livable' space called a basement. I have seen the house of my dreams and it is good... I may be off a few sq feet from the final design, but I think I'm pretty close. And I know I could get the place built for about 1.5. Buying a multi-million dollar home is how those other poor bastards get in trouble and go broke. You can live good, just not like a rock star. You have no income, they do. You got one check, they get them as long as they are hot.

I have it all figured out for you then.

If I get the job, my wife can be your personal finance manager. She can work the first year for free, until you decide if you wanna stick with her. She is awesome with money. Thats a DAMN good deal, if you ask me.

*I am working hard for that job, huh.

Jamz - I love all the **** kissing and I haven't even won yet! I can't wait until Friday night when I post that I did win... well, I'll post AFTER I have my ticket safely turned in and the $$ deposited! Then let the **** kissing begin!!!

I suppose if I hire her for free, I'd still have to hire you @ the already established offer of 250k, right?

Don't forget security. As soon as the wrong people find out you're worth 100 million dollars, you'll need protection of some sort. You'll need it for yourself and for your family. That can get expensive.

I'm sure the guy who hits you over the head, without provocation or indication of intent, and drags you off to a waiting vehicle, will appreciate you providing him with such a nice weapon, to keep you in line while he's waiting for his ransom payments.

I suggest he enlist Rockpick. Who's gonna mess with a guy who has someone named Rockpick on his security team? Just think of all the stories that would pop up to explain the earning of such a moniker.

If you win, first thing you do is keep it "low key" and hire a few lawyers, 2nd, bodyguard/s, then go claim...

Heck with banks though, turn it into gold and buy a lot of guns!

Heck, I think a regular sized bed might hold a few million in gold.....

What would I do with $90,000,000?

$500,000 to my best friend. God knows id make sure hes taken care of anyway, so that could be his consolation prize.

$5,000,000 to my parents. Because anyone who put up with all my **** deserves at least this much.

$3,000,000 to build/furnish my dream home/garage.

$100,000 to buy an assortment of small arms. We all know some jackass would try it, might as well be prepared.

And, for my vehicles of choice (outside of my current):

2003 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale
1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Scagliettie Berlinetta (Quite possibly the most beautiful car ever produced.)
1967 GT40 Mark IV

Not sure how much they'd cost, but im sure I could afford it.

With the rest, I dont know. Invest it in McDonalds or something.

Uhh, I'll be your lifeguard. Just buy me a Lightning, a built block, and make my insurence payments and I'll be set.
