Just test drive a competitive GM vehicle before you buy your Ford and then go back to GM to cut you a $250 check. Obviously you should read the rules before you dive into this.

So you're selling your truck to take advantage of this offer?

I wish. My truck is for sale because I got other financial commitments that don't allow me to keep it...

You must be 21, licensed, insured, must already have approved credit and must take the GM 24 hour test drive and then buy a competitor's comparable vehicle. I don't know if driving a Chevy around for 24 hours would be worth 250 bucks!

That would barely cover the bill for therapy (since you would be traumatized (sp?) from the 'test'). On the other hand, you could always drive it around the block, meet your friend, then go home and have them drop you off the next day. I wonder if they check the odo...

hard to do with my local dealer. when i bought my last truck i wanted to give them a fair chance. went to the chevy dealer, and he wwouldn't even let me drive one of his trucks. said he didn't think i should drive one if i wasn't sure i wanted to buy.
drove my new ford through his lot the next day and waved.

yeah, I've had similar experiences with arrogant dealers. I don't know where they forget that the customer has the leverage, not them. One dealer hung up on me in the middle of a conversation when I asked about invoice pricing. I guess some people are OK with losing business because their egos get in the way. Sucks to be them...
