I will have to look into that.

I have been hearing about EverQuest for a long time now.

I was told by a friend, that if you are a family man, it's best not to get started on this game. It will consume you and your family time.

yeah it is a time consuming game. you actually put work into your toon to achieve (to feed your ego and booast about having the best gear attainable per class). but on the flipside. EQ2 developers have been working hard on trying not to lose the first coulpe hundred thousands of people they had lost with the original EQ due to it being time consuming. They are stating that there will be lots of playabilty on both sides in this sequal. though for someone whos been playing as long as me, it makes me think of what could go wrong with this. i.e. hardcore player A works tedious to earn level and get the best gear while casual player works a fraction of the time and earns the same level / gear. i think it would be just too hard personally for them to achieve the perfect balance....but like i said, we'll see in november (unless they push the release date back)

If you have any life at all, do not start playing EQ. It is quite possibly the most time consuming, life-destroying thing ive ever had the privaledge of suffering through. I started playing a couple weeks after the Quellious server went live, and quit last June with 3 characters worth mentioning: 54 human monk, 49 DE wizard, and a 37 Barb Warrior. Its all fun and games until it starts getting in the way of your work.

For some strange reason, I never cancelled my account. I still pay on it in the event that I want to start playing again. Its pretty hard to just cancel it knowing I put a few years in to get where I was. I dont even want to think about how long the patch would be if I started playing again.

Ive been sticking to Call of Duty for my multiplayer fix. Fun, fast-paced, and more realistic than BF 1942.
